4.3+ million Fords to get trailer module OTA software update, including Mavericks

I just got my letter yesterday. Sweet, another recall with no fix available. I haven't used a trailer yet, so I guess I can wait it out fine.

Just be careful if you are following a later model Ford Truck towing a trailer.

Ford sells about a million trucks a year and this recall affects 4.3 million trucks.

I got the notification on the app in the updates section for my 26. Dealer did it when I brang it in for an oil change.

No letter yet but my vehicle is showing an active recall on the GOV site. However, my FordPass App is still showing 0 active recalls. On the Ford website under my account and dashboard the recall is showing but it also states the software is not available yet.

The fix for 25 and 26 models has been available since March 17th. We are still waiting for 22-24 models.

24 lariat tremor, I had the recall in the app maybe a few days after I read it in an email and on here. Today I look at the app and the recall is no longer listed? Anyone else have the recall disappear?

Mine disappeared a couple days after the dealer did the update on my 26.

I hadnt taken mine in cuz it also said no fix yet. I wonder if there was an update via wifi for us non over the air updaters.

Have you looked at the NHTSA recall page? Mine shows there, but has to yet to show up in the App. My guess that Ford gave a NHTSA a broad range of VINs, but mine isn't actually included in the recall.

I did and it was there and today I just got an email from the selling dealership advising to set a service visit for it but they 3 hours away. I dont tow anything anyway but I'll ask my local Ford dealer to check it when I do my next oil change.
