Integrating an estimated 100 trillion to 150 trillion synaptic connections in a brain to a robot that's major accomplishment is coming up with an unthoughtful answer while walking and chewing gum is a few miles away from right around the corner.

Artificial intelligence is not intelligent.
It just appears that way occasionally, but is actually a just quick way to come up with a consensus answer rather than anything approaching a thoughtful response, which is totally beyond its means.

You are so right! One of the biggest dangers of AI, other than the whole skynet thing, is people thinking the outputs they get are correct and they use them for something important! As my son likes to tell me, AI is prone to "hallucinations".
The other day I "googled" to see if our aluminum oil pans had a steel insert in the threads for the drain plug. Since AI answers are pushed to the top of searches, I saw an answer that said something to the effect that our oil pans were aluminum, which made magnetic drain plugs ineffective in catching metal particles because aluminum is non-magnetic. This answer came complete with flag notes indicating the sources. One source was from this forum when someone pointed out that magnetic oil pan heaters would not stick, and another discussed using magnetic plugs to catch particles. AI put those two together and came up with it's bogus statement!

That’s awesome. So if I say on this forum that the Mav hybrid gets 100mpg…. And it gets repeated enough… this could be a lot of fun at stupid people’s expense

If enough people comment and agree that the Earth is flat, according to the model results, the Earth will be flat. Hopefully that doesn't happen while NASA is using the AI model for refining the return trajectory for Artemis 2....

I am a geezer, too. I have the Lariat and love the ACC, but no lane centering for me! I fight those things all the time. I drive too close to the right side of the road and it tries to force me to the middle. I can't overcome 59 years of driving and I would rather drive myself!

I put it on by accident coming home from northern Wisconsin in a snowstorm. I thought something was loose in the suspension. Pulled over in the slush and crawled under and checked things out, found nothing. Don't care for these idiot aids. I learned how to brake, steer, modulate the throttle, turn on the headlights and flip off tailgaters well over 50 years ago. Carry a shovel to hide the bodies of kids under 60 that get in my way. Yeah, stand in front of my Mav and call me a geezer.
