Few Questions About Your Order

Sorry if there is a thread already but

1. Just wondering what the timeline was for most people's orders from order date to how long it took for them to get their build date and then how long it took from order to delivery on an ecoboost Maverick. I ordered my XL Ecoboost November 5th and haven't got a build date yet and was just curious what to expect.

2. Reading it takes about a month to get your delivery after it's built but if you live near where it was built, is picking it up there to get it sooner, an option?

My ordered and confirmed date was 7/9, build date was originally scheduled to be 10/11, but then it got pushed back to 10/18. My shipped date was 11/20, and it's supposed to be delivered by this Friday, but I'm expecting another delay with that, as well.

1. Ordered 7/9. Build date issued 8/2. Built 9/14 and delivered on 9/30, 3 weeks ahead of scheduled delivery date.

2. No you can't pick yours up from the Hermosillo, MX plant where they are built.

Freight and PDI is more than just getting the car from manufacture to dealership.

PDI = Pre Delivery Inspection. Inspection, Road Test, removing transport mode, suspension blocks, detail, clean, software updates, recalls. Even though a vehicle is new, it is built the same for months, and these types of updates may be done by a dealer to speed up production - until they change the plants process etc.

You'll want a PDI done, every time. Trust me.

Thanks. Wait so your scheduled for the build on 1/31? Yikes. Was the "10 week delivery" always a myth. Ordered on 10/11 and if they're building it Jan 31st, it's another month for build and another month for delivery? So potentially March 31st before delivered? That's almost 6 months.

First build week was 11/1
Updated build week was 11/28
ACTUAL build started on 12/03, still in production as far as I know.
Estimated delivery is 1/7/22... I'm not holding my breath though.

Anyone who suggested a "10 week delivery" either believes in the tooth fairy or was hallucinating.
Like all scheduling date(s), consensus seems to be that there is none. Thus, maybe my truck gets actually built the week of January 31....or gets rescheduled...or goes into production that week but isn't completed for weeks..... and when built, it gets shipped in a timely manner and arrives in a few weeks....or sits awaiting a rail car or truck & arrives weeks/months later.

ordered EB FX4, 10/13 email from ford the same day, no build date as of yet, even removed all options to speed up build date, has not helped.

I ordered a 2005 F350 King Ranch 4x4 4 door long bed with V10 and lowered rear gears the May day in 2004 that Ford order bank opened. Got mail Order accepted in one day, Got Vin and production week for July 2004 "Job 1" 3rd week of June. Truck was delivered to my smallish dealer first week Middle of July build until customer in the truck of September...so just under 8 weeks to build and deliver....Early May first order to delivery was about 12 weeks....difference....NO COVID OR POLITICAL TRADE BS....

MY V B 2.0 eco AWD, Lariat, 4K Tow Pkg , Trailer Tow pkg, Copilot, Lariat Lux--- was ordered Sept 27, Ford accepted Sept 29th and last Thursday Dec 9th I got a vin and estimated build date of 03/14/2022... I guestimate early April to mid May delivery.... Thank you Brandon and Covid

PS 6th Ford built to order since 1998
I promised my very very Rural dealer I would not pester him at all until he calls that it will be delivered. I asked to be there when it comes off the car hauler as I have done with every spec built Ford...he promised to call in time for me to drive the 1.5 hour trip up to Goldthwaite Texas

in all these orders the F350 is first I tried to CSX track....grand waste of my beer time....jest saying

Living in illinois, I actually saw a Mavrick for the first time the other day, so I know they are real.
