That's cheap dude. Its over $2.10 Cdn/L for regular (87) in parts the lower mainland. That's $5.79 USD per gallon for our American friends.

We are just outside Winnipeg and gas here (I put in 40.5 Litres at $1.599 a litre) cost us just under $65.00 for the tank-up and calculated mpg of 34.5 (Imperial gallon).

As temperatures are getting above freezing temps here at long last, fuel mileage will only go up from here.

Not as bad as prices in BC of course.

It is the cost of doing business, if we need to drive we have to pay the price, whatever it is.

I know we never drive unless we have to, old habits die hard and it pays off even more when fuel prices go up.

We walk when we can all winter to get groceries etc here on town, in summer it is even better as we can walk or cycle for errands.

I don't think gas is expensive enough though, there are still lots of people sitting in their cars in parking lots with their engines idling away...people are still driving their vehicle 200 meters to check their mail box before going back home...I think North Americans are pre- programmed from an early age that walking or any other mode of transport is bad if it doesn't have an engine.

I am also thinking RV sales are going to feel the pain as fuel continues to climb.

Ram may have started pushing trucks with V8 Hemi engines out the door again at precisely the wrong time, at least to me. Imagine feeding one of those just to go to and from work, grocery store, etc. Yikes, our gas budget would have to be double or triple compared to running our Maverick.

That's what diesel costs here in inflationary Trumpars. $145 to fill up RV.

Because we add .9 cent per gallon shouldn't you Canucks be adding .2 cent per liter?

Maybe have someone look into that.

Well, we do need to remember the price takes a bit of a cut when you factor in the US dollar...but still, yep...that will make you up your credit card limit before you take your RV on a road trip.

Our gas 3.6 liter Hymer Class B camper van averages about 20 mpg (Imperial gallon) on the highway, and we will see if we can go visit our kids on the East Coast in Dartmouth NS or not...gotta wait to see where this all is going as plans may have to be changed.

I remember when Canada switched to metric from imperial and the gas was (regular) 35 cents a litre! ( Ya, I’ve been drinking, I mean driving for a long time)!

Costco in Mesa AZ is $4.499 for 87, and $5.159 for 91 (per gal)
