📢 Price Increase Coming April 2026 – Lock In Your Plan with Granger Now
For anyone considering extended coverage, here’s an important heads up:
A Ford Protect price increase is scheduled for April 2026. Once the increase takes effect, new contracts will reflect higher pricing. If you’ve been thinking about adding coverage, now is the time to secure current rates.
ℹ What This Means
  • Ford Protect plan pricing will adjust in April 2026.
  • Contracts purchased before the increase lock in current pricing.
  • Existing contracts are not affected once issued.
⏳If you’re inside factory warranty (3yr/36k Ford or 4yr/50k Lincoln) or approaching expiration (41 months from the original in-service date and/or 40,999 miles), this is the ideal window to act.⌛
If you’re considering:
  • Premium Care
  • Deductible options
  • Coverage length and mileage
  • Eligibility timing
Want to lock in ASAP- purchase through our website and within 3-5 business days we will send you an electronic copy of your plan.

I’m curious, why did Grainger stop selling the 10 year 36,000 and 48,000 mile warranties?

In that case, I'm wondering why Ford stopped.
Money? Force someone to purchase a more expensive warranty that Ford won’t lose their ass on if a major problem occurs.

Money makes sense, but it also seems like they could have just raised the price. It was a nice option for low mileage drivers like myself. I got a 10 year 36,000 mile zero deductible from Grainger for my 2023 Maverick for $735.

I recently bought a new Mazda and Mazda’s factory warranty extensions are stupidly expensive. And Mazda doesn’t seem to have any dealers cost competing like Grainger.

I’m very wary of third party warranties, but I priced Grainger’s non-Ford warranties and there was nothing below 60,000 miles there either. I’m not likely to pay for double the miles that I’ll need.

Oh I agree with you. They've actually changed the offerings significantly since i bought mine a few months ago. There were no deductible options - you got what you got which for me was $100 deductible (would have loved the $0.00 option)

yep - went up from 1300 back in 23 to 2300 last fall - better to buy it now or Pay (lots more) later. Loaded labor dealer rates are 150 plus - likely it'll be pushing 200 within a couple years.

I was planning on getting a Ford Protect plan, so thanks for the heads up!
The Granger site works great, very easy to use and lots of options to tailor a plan.
The plan I wanted has already been confirmed after just a day.
Thanks again.

I am pretty disappointed that it is retroactive. If I pay for a new product/insurance, I would like it to be effective on the day I purchase it. Not something dated back to when I picked up my Maverick at the dealer in Tucson! My local Sierra Vista Dealer may have another option because they told me to wait to purchase the plan until I was closer to my three years of ownership. In other words, a new protection plan based on when I purchase the plan, not on when I purchased the Maverick. I have to do more more more research.

The plan only takes effect after the factory warranty limit (3 or 36k whichever comes first) - you are 'pre-buying' covering from then to whatever end limit you choose. You are buying year 4+ 1 day or 36001 mile on. It does matter if you wait - if you buy it now you lock in the price , if you wait until year 2 or 3 then you will be incurring the additional price increases that come along twice a year. I could have got mine for 1300 in '22 instead (because I didn't quite get how this all works) I waited til last year and paid 2300$. If you buy the 10 year you are actually getting years 4-10 covered, you're not paying for year 0-3.
