Huh mine was built September/October 2025.

Just double checked on the Ford recall search and I am safe.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I think this recall affects 2022-2024 Ecoboost Mavericks. I haven't seen the fix available yet.
Tim there was a recall issued for 2025s and is not drivetrain specific it’s an issue with the heater itself.

Has anyone been able to get a refund for the block heater option they paid for? I saw somewhere that was an option, instead of waiting possibly years to get a safe, working block heater.

There is recall 25S52 that is for 2025 Maverick both hybrid and ecoboost built between April 11, 2024 and May 7, 2025. No fix yet.

Dealer advised me of the block heater recall and asked when I wanted to bring it in. I said, "no problem, let's book it and also do an oil change and transmission flush and re-fill". Dropped the Maverick off this morning. Dealer calls and tells me front rotors need machining. That, plus the oil change and the transmission flush and fill = $1000. Oh, and the block heater? They advised me when I picked it up that the parts aren't available yet.
FFS.
You need a lower "Trust Threshold". When they say "You need this or that" think about it, say NO or run away! The rotors on my '24 look like new. I've done a lot of brake jobs and just one time I replaced the rotors on an old Saturn. Maybe I had them turned once when they were pulsing.

Well I feel a bit mislead, the info from my dealer was the "parts for the heater recall are in". I just picked it up, the part that was in was a plug for where the heater used to be. They explained that the heater was being returned to Ford, and when the replacement heater was available I would be notified. Blah. At least it had to go in anyway to get the other recalls done. I was going to get the complimentary oil change done but they wanted $65 to upgrade from the provided synthetic blend to full synthetic! Nope.
