I found this sticker on the back of my 6 month old lariat. It came off super easy.

Looks like some sort of a circuit printed on the bottom of it.

I assume it is a manufacturer sticker that should have been removed at some point. The top of the sticker is all black which is the same color as the back of the mirror so I can see how it is easy to miss. If it should be removed why would they make it all black?

Hopefully this sticker was not doing something important. :)

ChatGPT says it is an antenna sticker used for factory tracking or shipping and it was supposed to be removed.
Yep. An RFID antenna, likely for inventory tracking. Probably would've done no harm unless you just happened to have a toll authority or entry gate using the same frequency.

Yes I do have an entry gate in my building, and I have had a lot of issues! I had some issues with my previous car as well but it got worse with the new truck. I bet that sticker was part of the problem! Recently I got a new gate sticker because I was having so many issues. The new gate sticker was larger and did work better, but I bet the sticker on the mirror was not helping.

Thanks for connecting the dots on that.

That's no doubt due to the Explorer tire/rollover issue from 25 years or so ago.

Reminds me of the, ‘Don’t drink the battery acid’ warning.

I’m more with the movement to remove all safety warnings.
The gene pool most definitely needs cleaning out.

Natural selection,
This Is The Way :’P

Still, I’d keep the antenna sticker in place. It’s kinda kool looking.

It's a RFID antenna likely for inventory tracking or gate access

You would also have to remove the legal system.

No, that’s drug addict and idiot control.
Think of that like hunting to control the wildlife.

A short story ...I always keep a jug of distilled water in my garage for topping off batteries.
Decades ago I was working on a car , in my garage , in the summer , grabbed the jug and took a swig ...my kids were nearby and almost screamed ... they thought I drank battery acid , as they had only seen me adding to batteries from that jug .... It was hilarious ....

The warning label isn't there to protect you. It's there to shield the manufacturer from litigation.
