Last Saturday I woke up to these errors from the Ford app:

Ford Maverick ... Did anyone else get spammed with errors and then a handtyped apology this past weekend? 1765460560293-dg

And since the truck seemed to be in crisis, I wound up traveling out of town with my old Civic (NO heat and drafty). When I got back, I saw this update:

I was confident that these were just caused by the OTA update about one day prior, and was too busy to visit the forum and post about it. But then the weekly wrap up email said nothing about this issue.... So obviously not everyone saw these errors, but then why did I?

ALSO, the app and truck have since wiped any record of the error + apology that I could reference back to, and the OTA or something has nuked the truck's volatile memory of things like driving habit affected tank range and dash settings. When I filled up yesterday the range was 465 miles (instead of 550+), indicating that feature of the truck believed it was a brand-new not-broken-in vehicle again.

This is all on my 2025 AWD+4K Hybrid Maverick that I purchased in June 2025.

Hmmm, strange warnings to appear and then disappear!

I haven't seen anything on my Ford app at all, since September's 24th's software update....no update or warnings.

My truck was made in December 2025 and delivered on the 25th of January, 2025.

Now for a bit of info as to battery life when doing these Ford App checks.

I have been monitoring my battery (with a good old tester, none of that new-fangled gadgetry plugged in or anything!).

It seems each time I refresh my Ford App to see what is up with tire pressures or what have you, the truck wakes up and by the time it shuts down (electronically) it has dropped the battery charge by about .03 amps per wake up.

So, simple math tells me if I check my truck too many times (I don't check it hardly at all, but I was curious), it can affect the battery charge significantly and that isn't good if you already have a weak battery.

Have a good one,

Andy

I have the same vehicle, manufactured a few months after yours.
My OTA updates were not enabled until today.
In any case, I didn't get any of the same error messages.

This happened to me as a software engineer for many years, at many companies. You spend a crazy amount of time developing, testing, testing more, testing more, and then you ship. And something happens in the field that your testing didn't catch. So you fix it and send out an emergency fix. Then you improve your testing procudures so you don't miss it again.

It's a complicated world. You might not think it, but it's a complicated truck. Out in the field there are dozens upon dozens of hardware versions of every controller and software driver in the Maverick fleet. It's insanity, and almost unmanageable by human beings.

So patience is appropriate. And before anybody whines about "they should test better", well, testing costs big money. How much more do you want to pay for your Maverick to cover that cost? My data storage company had a budget in the billions just for testing. So it's not a little amount.

Got one today on my daughter’s 24 MAV. 2.0. Remote feature disable. She came home from college last night and had the warning this morning. She drove 3 hrs and app said to start and go for a long drive to charge battery. Started fine and cleared the alert. Maybe it did some update once near our WiFi. Who knows.

Cross wired on Ford servers probably.

They did get that report from a truck - just not yours.
They did send the alerts to an app - yours.
They found error and sent alerts to correct app hopefully.

Scary what kind of cross connect caused it.

Good day

It might be a good idea to check the battery to see what it's charge level is.

To do that in a modern vehicle isnt as easy, it seems.

What I do is pop the hood-this is so I don't wake up the trucks electrical system when I can finally do the test...a couple hours later.

It takes 75 minutes I hear (hybrid) for the trucks modules and electrical system to shut down, then a couple more hours rest time so the battery will give you the most accurate reading possible as to its true charge state.

Find a guide appropriate for the batteries chemistry to see its charge state it as a percentage.

This will give you an idea what the truck is charging the battery to. And if the battery needs to be replaced or charged.

If you don't have one, get a good quality smart battery charger (at least 4 or 5 amps), it should work for both AGM or FLA.

If the battery is good, put it through multiple charge cycles to get the battery in it's best state.

Do the Ecoboosts need to do rhe relearn procedure like I have done with my Hybrid? This is to help the truck recognize what a properly charged battery looks like. It's in the manual anyways.

If the battery is shot, see your dealer, explain the situation and get it checked out to make sure the truck is charging properly. It should still have its warranty, which is when you want this potential issue addressed.

Have a good one,

Andy

Just got the warning again. Battery measured 12.1 vehicle off. 14 and change with engine/alternator on. For comparison my Bronco which sits for a week at a time is 12.5 while off. Taking it in tomorrow.
