Compare Apples and orange. $10K more for a stripped down Bronco vs. a fully equipped Maverick with 4K towing and Hybrid transmission.
The survey mentioned trucks. I don't think the bronco was included in the survey. It's a truck for registration purposes in many states. But customers don't consider the bronco and other similar vehicles to be trucks

It seems that the MAVERICK is the best truck when it comes to customer satisfaction. We may have some minor quibbles. . But by and large most of us are pretty satisfied with our choice
Color me very satisfied. No, make that completely delighted with my '25 Hybrid Lariat. In years past, I owned an '89 Ranger Lariat and a '99 GMC Sierra 1500 Custom. Both were great trucks that did everything I asked of them, but it took half a heartbeat in the Maverick to realize this little truck was a better buy than both of those in terms of meeting my needs. Kudos to Ford for crafting a winner.

I always find it interesting that people will use abbreviations and acronyms and just assume that they are part of everyone else's lexicon.

We have an AQ3SLP, a FMLH, and FF250LCCSB, we have recently owned FEL, ATSX, HRLTL, CCC, TCSR5, HPEX...

Eruption Green looks amazing, I just stop looking I had to take what was on the lot...after a 3 hour drive to the closest AWD hybrid!

I almost bought a 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands in Eruption Green....had paperwork signed and all I needed to do was go in the next day with the check and sign some final documents. However, on my way home I started to second guess my choice as I really wanted a hybrid....next day, went down to dealership, cancelled the BS deal and ordered the Maverick Lariat hybrid in Eruption Green I am driving today.

I researched the heck out of Mavericks here and other places prior to purchase, so knew what I was getting into. Good and bad. Decided against new and opted for used. Found a 2022 fully loaded RWD HYBRID Lariat with 20k miles a little less than a year ago. I picked up the extended Warranty after the purchase through Granger and saved a bit more than $1,100. I’ve dealt with a few recalls, hibernation mode issue and a bad transmission control module, but that’s about it. Dealer has been great solving every single issue. Drove from NorCal to Colorado and back. No regrets. Love the truck.

The 2023 BS BB I had the MSRP was $33,135.00 and it had the 1.5 EB 3 cylinder in it. The 2025 XLT AWD Maverick I have now the MSRP was $31,510.00 and has the 2.0 EB 4 cylinder in it so even being 2 years newer it was cheaper than the BS BB. And IMO the Bronco Sports are overpriced!!

it makes perfect sense that both vehicles are priced in the same ballpark. Since they are based on the same platform and share many components under the sheet metal. But you hear more cries against the Maverick simply because Ford introduced it at what I consider an introductory sale price. From the moment of its introduction, I knew the price would jump significantly because both the bronco Sport and the Escape were significantly more expensive at the time even with their 3 cylinder engine. Even more so with the 2.0. EcoBoost. Yet the Maverick had the 2.0 ecoboost as the base engine. In my opinion the MAVERICK is currently priced appropriately for what it is ( given that EVERY car and truck is too expensive)

The Bronco Sport, SUV, Sport Utility Vehicle.
I found the joke name most amusing,
‘Stupid Useless Vehicle’
lol,
The manufacturers finally found a package and a shape that would get us to buy station wagons.
:XD

My 2021 BS was nice, the 1.5 base engine was adequate but only because of the Turbo.
My much more powerful EcoBoost Maverick Truck gets better mpg’s than either of the BS engines by a solid 2 mpg.
Might simply be the areo, the BS is a bit boxy.

To me a Bronco is more like a Blazer, or the old Ram Charger, or maybe a Jeep thing, nothing like a Maverick.

It's generally always been a good rule of thumb to never buy the 1st year or 2 of a major redesign (or new design vehicle), theres almost always something that needs changed or fixed, then right after ignorant buyers become gloom & doom, the problem issues get discovered, fixes put out, & fixes tested.

But then again for those of us not trading in every couple years, when you need a new vehicle you need it now so zi guess sometimes easier said than done.

The regular Bronco is like those vehicles. It's based on the Ranger. But the Bronco Sport, , Escape, and Maverick share many components under the skin . And they are all unibody. And even the AWD is primarily FWD under normal conditions. . The regular Bronco is body on frame and although it's 4wd, it is based on a rear wheel drive vehicle Back in the 1980s, you had the regular Bronco that was based on an F-150 chassis. Then you had the Bronco Ii (later the Explorer) that was based on the Ranger chassis

I never heard anyone say, "Wow" I like that new truck, I can't wait for 2 years to pass, so I can buy one!

I haven’t heard it stated that way. But I have heard people say that they liked a new vehicle. But they were gonna wait a while to see if it was any good before they bought one. This was especially true if it was a new nameplate, a major redesign, or a different engine. Sometimes they would say that they would let other people be the guinea pig . Out of people reacted, that way the first year or two when the Eco-boost was first installed in the F150. I remember them saying that they love the way it performed when they test drove one. But they ended up choosing the familiar V8 because they were afraid of that turbo charge engine. After a while when they got the next F150., They felt comfortable enough to buy the eco-boost 3.5 because they had a few friends who bought one and had a good experience with it

I wanted the Mav when I saw the first picture of one.
It was not out in Dec 2020 and I needed a vehicle. The 2021 Bronco Sport kept me happily entertained until 12/31/24 when I traded it for my seemingly flawless 2024 AWD Ecoboost Lariat.
11,500 miles on the clock, 11/12 months of ownership. So far so good. Not even a recall.
