Way to miss the point.
An EV Ranger starting at $30,000 would be an even more horseshit claim
But Ford isn't claiming to offer either a Maverick or Ranger EV starting at $30K. Was the point making horseshit claims?

Truth be told, it's the norm for a start up car company to go belly up. Kia and Hyundai are the exceptions rather than the rule. It's extremely difficult to break in with well established companies already in charge
You missed my point. I agree it's hard to get a foothold in a car manufacturing company. Thus it maybe the reason the two you mentioned kia and Hyundai succeeded by offering ICE vehicles. The only company I can think of in US is Tesla which marketed EV buyers. Where as many that offered ICE have succeeded because of marketing to the masses or majority ICE buyers.

What was the last successful ICE startup company in the USA? (Kia and Hyundai were no more startups than VW, Toyota, or Nissan were. Imports are not startups.)

Plus the only reason Tesla didn't fail was because of Elon. Tesla didn't make any money in its first decade.

I still don't get why the masses would go EV . It wont save you any money at this time but could change and it has limitations a gas car doesn't. So WHY for the masses. Yes some just WANT it like some want a sports cars. But for the masses it has NO appeal. Masses meaning people who just want to go from point A to B easily. .

How about this !
I think, and yes I do think about my posts,
Anyway me thinks :

79% of that 59% just wanted to be on the new, apparently winning side of the EV thing.

I doubt that 79% of the 59% has ever owned or will own an EV.

Like the percentage of posters in This forum that don’t know jack, or shit for that mater but post like they are an expert.

Same madness, always the same affliction,
‘Self Importance’ such an awful burden.
Question:
What is the average range of an ev when the temperature is below zero for an extended time. 2. What is the range of an ev when it’s 25 below zero? It gets that cold even in southern Idaho once in a while

In the best environment (mid 70's, no wind), our MachE will have ~320 miles of range, and the worst we have experienced so far was ~160 miles, that was a day where it was about -10F. It's better to monitor miles per kWh, vs range, as it fluctuates quickly. It's no secret, EV range is effected by temperature more significantly than ICE. It all goes back to doing your research, and understanding what you are signing up for. Obviously, if you live in the arctic, and drive hundreds of miles per day, a BEV makes little sense.

That's not an issue where a lot of people live, such as here in Orlando. A vehicle doesn't have to sell to every conceivable buyer in every conceivable location to be profitable.

Yes they were, they were trying to market their vehicles in United States. They succeeded yes other imports have succeeded as well.

Opening a new market is not starting a new company.
Yes it can be if it means it stays solvent. Look at Nissan right now it either will make it or go under.

Unless they get a bailout like GM and Stalantis did
