How To: Sync 3/4 swap for non Sync 3 XL/XLT

I would've went that route except from what I see, I'm in an xlt and I see Panda Motorworks listing there sync3 to sync4 harness for $150, and the xl/xlt harness (one I'll need) for $200. No idea where y'all are seeing it for $150. Besides I'm too deep into this now to back out and want to figure it out lol.

I am a little stumped though. Found I have three pins on the apim connector unused. 21 & 22 highlighted in pink and no idea why the OP has them highlighted in pink. And 31 in yellow. Which I want to say will marry pin 13 on the black ACM 1 connector?

No, 13 is Mic , check diagrams on first page,
all connections are pretty clear there
acm for sync3 doesn't has mic input, so, you should connect mic from apim to mic on the truck (original acm female connector)

Thanks Fernando. I'm doing a conversions from a non-sync Maverick, to Sync 4. I can see 13 is highlighted in Yellow on the first page of the APIM connections and again in Yellow on the first page of the ACM #1 Black but its not listed in the the pin to pin trace. So I was hoping for some clarification to be sure it was needed.

Ok, I did from sync 2.5 to 4, without issues , try to get a new apim my23 or my24 , to get newest software,
old software for my21 or 22 has errors

Awesome! I may hit you up as I progress. I'm just starting to work on the wiring harness. I have a '24 Escape APIM on it's way. Still have to pick out the ACM. Interested to know what ACM you installed?

Use the ACM that is listed on the first page of this post. That code works ok, Bronco Sport ACM., I have the same, it's really better than the original ACM from Maverick. I think that there are two types, low-level and high-level. Try to get a high level, it has better sound.

Ok I am starting out on this and I have a few questions. Where do pins 21 & 22 on APIM go (highlighted pink on first page, Ctrl Mod - APIM # Alert 1 (D) & Ctrl Mod - APIM # Audio (D))?
Also do we do pin 31 on APIM (Microphone - Phone/Voice Control D)? I see it highlighted yellow but not on the list.
Finally, does anyone have the measurements for the aluminum brackets and where the holes should go? Has anyone designed a 3d print for it yet?

Pin 31 (DMM13 Microphone - Phone/Voice Control D) on the APIM should go to Pin 13 on ACM 1(C240A).

Anyone do this swap in a Lariat hybrid without the B&O system and got the Ford Pass app working? I've got everything else working like I expect but I can't seem to find the correct settings in Forscan to get the app to connect.
