MY 2023 XLT Lux EB FX4 in Alto Blue. Falling into the popular group, 65yo male. Always had an SUV type as a 2nd vehicle for longer trips, hauling bigger items. Replaced a stolen GM SUV. Later figured i didn't need an oversized SUV.

73 years young. Just traded 2014 Miata for 2024 Lariat hybrid.
Nah, it's all good. I'd never find another in Eruption Green and I love 'Fern' (named after my sister who has always hated her middle name) I don't take long road trips anymore, just a bit of mild offroading with my pittie mix by my side.

As a gen Xer it's a bit nostalgia for the minitrucks I wanted in my teens, and a bit of the jonesing to be more outdoorsy but not wanting the aforementioned mortgage on 4 wheels or the pump shock from dailying that kind of drinking problem.Gen Zer here, the youngest generation to drive a vehicle right now (1997-2012) Gen alpha isn't quite there yet (2013-present) That means the oldest of that generation would still only be twelve years old and the youngest being zero.
It's funny how the original intent for the Maverick was to appeal to young, outdoorsy types when quite the opposite happened. According to the comments and my real-world observations, they seem to be driven by older people, specifically Boomers and Gen Xers. I see why. They're affordable (at least used to) easy to get in and out of, practical, great on fuel and modest.
Overall, it's a great all-rounder that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy and operate.
I had a couple Rangers in that era along with a Couple 2000 era Rangers and then a bunch of F-150's because the 4.0 SOHC I had in the 2000 era Rangers weren't much better on gas than the V-8 and Eco Boost F-150's I had.I now have a Maverick and I'm 58 Years Old.I’m wondering the demographics of the Maverick vs the old Ranger and comparable trucks or even the earlier Courier and its contemporaries. Seems like it may be the same people who bought the 1990s era ranger might be buying the current maverick![]()
