Thanks a lot for the pictures. Was wondering what it looks like to tow one of these trailers. Looking into the Sunlite 14THX right now which is a small toy hauler with tilt out bed, small bathroom and a murphy bed. Comes in at 2600 lbs.

Thats...crazy mpg for any towing but especially 3000 lbs.
You sure that wasn't all downhill mpg? :p
The dealership was only 18 minutes away from my house with a lot of lights and hills. So lots of 100% regen braking!! Real test will be the first camping trip in the spring!

Between the 3,000 lb trailer and its 60+ sq ft of frontal area, the trailer will have more drag / frictional losses than the Maverick. That would mean that an unladen Maverick hybrid can pull 60+ mpg. In the same circumstances.

Picked up my new 2025 Jayco Jay flight slx 170bh trailer. The dealer set me up with a 2 inch raised ball. We tried a 4 inch first but the tailgate would hit it. Trailer weight is 3050lbs. Hitch weight is just over 300lbs. My Maverick pulled it without issue! I was surprised how well the hybrid pulled it. It still had plenty of pep off the line. It was fun pulling the trailer! Only issue is not being able to see well around the sides.

Isn't the tow capacity for the hybrid limited to 2000# ?

2025 was a big upgrade year for the hybrid as it gets the option of 4k tow package and AWD.

I had a great experience when towing with my then new 2025 hybrid Lariat with less than 2000mi on it. I would guess that with the trailer full of water and propane I was close to 3500#.
I bought mirror extensions.

Do you have a link to those mirror extensions? Did they work ok and is your trailer 8 foot wide?

It's not a great photo.
But my RV is 8' wide.
I have the mirror extensions.
Barely works.
I can see the white dotted line for lane changes. But absolutely nothing behind me. A cop could be behind me for hours on straight road, and I wouldn't know.

Pro Tip: if you can, plan lane changes on curves. And/or get your right wheels on the fog line before changing lanes to get a peek behind you.

With my 7' cargo carrier the stock mirrors are adequate. A 7' travel trailer would have been nice. Like an R-Pod. But those usually have pop-outs which adds weight and complexity (and cost) to the trailer.

900 lbs in my bed too. The trailer was not pushing down that hard.

Just a happenstance photo.
I was not aiming for the mirrors.

Plus: fast and easy to attach (or remove) and completely secure. These use rubber bungee cord material. Years ago I had some with nylon ratchet strap material. Those sucked.

Negative: a bit small and don't reach out as far as I would like, but all the brands I found were within an inch of the same reach. It's really about 6" more width once installed.

Awesome thanks. I will get those and I'm also going to get a magnetic wireless backup camera I will put on the rear bumper of my trailer to act as a rear view mirror.

Interesting stuff fellas, I have a 19ft Gulfstream Vista cruiser in my sights, that's gonna be 7.5' wide.

I have a wireless solar powered magnetic camera.

But our new TT is made "light" by being plastic and aluminum.

Can't win 'em all I guess.
