Picked up my new 2025 Jayco Jay flight slx 170bh trailer. The dealer set me up with a 2 inch raised ball. We tried a 4 inch first but the tailgate would hit it. Trailer weight is 3050lbs. Hitch weight is just over 300lbs. My Maverick pulled it without issue! I was surprised how well the hybrid pulled it. It still had plenty of pep off the line. It was fun pulling the trailer! Only issue is not being able to see well around the sides.

I use a wireless backup camera for towing. The camera is NOT wired to reverse lights so it works other than reverse and the monitor is a cigarette lighter power cord win an on-off switch that allows me to see what's behind me at the push of a button.

Trim level doesn't matter; your truck doesn't have trailer assist because it's an early "Job 1" build. If it was Job 2 or later, it would have it.

I thought only Lariat's get pro trailer assist? (could be diff in Canada)

Go to Fords site and build a Xl and XLT. There are no options for the pro trailer assist on those trims even with the current builds.

No, the BH170 is in their Jay Flight slx line. The 17BHSL is in the Jay Feather Air line.

The Jay flight is corrugated aluminum exterior with steel box tube frame. The Jay feather is “Adzel Onboard” composite walls with aluminum frame.

Edit: “framing”. They both use an actual steel trailer frame. But the framing of the living space is aluminum in the Jay feather.
