There is nothing either available or possible that you're putting on a Maverick, that is going to stop a deer from crushing it ... besides while front end hits are more common, I've had them run into the side of me while i was even at a stop. Side note - Have a friend that has hit and totalled 6 trucks/cars within past year on I-69 near port huron michigan - capac area - known to insurance companies as the " Deer Gauntlet" ...

I think anything that would protect your front end from a deer strike, would also stop your airbags from deploying properly.

The only Mavericks that have any kind of solid mounting position on the front is the FX4 and the tremor where the tow hooks mount to the cradle. All other trims are missing that mounting position. Most of the brush guards you see online are cosmetic only and offer no real protection from a deer.

I'll be installing my Steelcraft grille guard now that I am healed up enough to do it. Both my FORD pickups will have Steelcraft grille guards. Proven to substantially reduce deer damage. I hit two and had no damage. The third photo is what it would look like on your truck. They are heavy and tough. Installation isn't a cake walk and I recommend help or a hoist. I've installed two thus far. This is the best one for a Maverick to repel deer.

our convenience of travel sure has upset the natural world,had to take a woodpecker out of my grill,knew it was in there had to find a place to stop,it seemed mostly alright gently took it out and placed on shoulder,the bird was was just as sudden as the deer "blur",one reason I wont ride around on a rainy night is because of the little critters in the road. don't want to harm them.
