I was under the assumption the 4k towing had two transmission coolers. One smaller heat exchanger mounted on the transmission and an air cooled cooler mounted on the front radiator. I checked my new 2025 2.0, awd and I only have the cooler mounted on the transmission.
The 53Q option states...Aux auto Trans cooler.
???

Are you saying Ford shorted you a transmission oil cooler? Are you sure the cooler mounted on the radiator about mid way up is not there? That would be a major blunder on Ford's part. Seems unlikely.

Im asking if others with a 2025 with 4k towing have two transmission coolers.....I only have one as seen in the picture. There is nothing near the radiator.

I think the auxiliary cooler means that the transmission cooler for the 4k tow is larger than the regular one.

All im going by is what people are saying online. If you look at parts diagrams the cooler setup on my truck says "less towing" and the other setup with two coolers says "towing package 1"

Are you 100% sure you have the 4K towing package? Do you have both 4- and 7-pin electrical connectors at the hitch?

Edit: Also, the aux cooler is sandwiched between the radiator and A/C condenser, so it is not something you're going to casually glance at. If you haven't taken off any parts, it's probably still hidden from view.

Yes I have 4k. 7 pin connector....4 pin connector....trailer brakes....
I know where the rad mounted cooler would be and you can see just by looking at my cooler its the wrong heat exchanger for the rad mounted cooler. The radiator mounted cooler uses the smaller 6 port cooler....you'd see the added 2 ports and lines.

I see you are using diagrams for the offroad FX4. I have no idea, but would the 4K towing package differ if the vehicle is not FX4???

I think the auxiliary cooler means that the transmission cooler for the 4k tow is larger than the regular one.
That would be a strange way to describe it since "auxilliary" is synonymous with "supplemental". In model year '22-'24 Mavericks, that's exactly what it was--a smaller water-to-oil cooler with a supplemental/auxiliary air-to-oil cooler.

It appears that the OP's 4K tow package doesn't have a supplemental air-to-oil cooler and has the larger water-to-oil cooler that the standard (non-4K) '22-'24 has.

I see you are using diagrams for the offroad FX4. I have no idea, but would the 4K towing package differ if the vehicle is not FX4???
It didn't, at least prior to 2025. 4K tow Mavericks had a supplemental air-to-oil cooler regardless of FX4 package or not.

@lsxmalibu, it sure seems to me from your picture that they put the standard, larger, heat exchanger on your 4K tow Maverick without the auxiliary cooler.

In my picture below, marked in red you can see the oil lines to the auxiliary cooler on a 2024 4K below the upper radiator hose (just for comparison):

Yes. I have the 4 port cooler. The cooler for the front mounted cooler would have the added 2 ports like you have marked. Not sure if this is a 2025 new thing? I called the dealer. Waiting for a reply

I think the auxiliary cooler means that the transmission cooler for the 4k tow is larger than the regular one.
This! Ford verbiage is misleading but auxiliary can mean "providing supplemental or additional support. I guess in this case Ford PR people are using this term because the larger cooler provides additional cooling capability over the regular size cooler. Does not necessarily mean "secondary". If this is the case, the more "honest" description would have been just "larger"!!!!

I have the 4k also and I presumed there were two coolers also!!!!
