Coming from a Ridgeline with a POS infotainment system, the last thing I want to deal with is this type of issue. I’ll leave it at the dealer until they can prove to me it works properly. Might as well have them check for the other known issues as well.

Where did you find this? I tried to Google "SSM 50297 - 2022 Maverick" and am finding nothing. I have also contacted the local dealer, called Ford Corporate, messaged Ford Motor Company on Facebook, and none of them are aware or even able to find anything on the issue. I sent them tons of links to forums like this and they thank me but nothing has happened.
I found it on another forum. I don't remember which one.

ALL THESE QUALUITY ISSUES ARE UNACCEPTABLE. THESE TRUCKS ARE LITERALLY FALLING APART AS SOON AS THEY LEAVE THE DEALER! FORD CLEARLY HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING! THE ONLY WAY IT'S GOING TO GET FIXED IS TO HIT THEM IN THE POCKETBOOK, EVERYONE SHOULD CANCEL THEIR ORDERS NOW TO MAKE THEM FIX THE ALL THE PROBLEMS!!!! IF ENOUGH PEOPLE CANCEL WE CAN FORCE THEM TO LISTEN!!!

(Maybe then my truck will get scheduled sooner. 😂 )

I totally understand your feelings and it bugs me too. However I think for the price and performance the truck is well made. This is a software issue that Ford will have to fix. Radios are a low priority item, probably because most people nowadays want to sync their phone, play XM or stream from their favorite service (Spotify, Pandora). Personally I want my radio to work, so am going to keep after them until they fix it. They have had the same exact problem on other models and fixed it. I'm sure the software developers knew their application was buggy before it was released but they had to meet a deadline. The priority was for connectivity to other devices rather than manual radio controls.

The radio issue has been know pretty well known since people have been getting their trucks. Most of the discussion is on FB. I had problems with my clock changing and being stuck at 00:00 after I adjusted it for daylight savings time. One time it froze completely while connected to my phone. As far as the transmission issue, its overfilling not a part failure.

All I can say is I love my truck so far. This is a new product, first year out. There are going to be a few bugs. Issues with the radio are minor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this truck to someone else or consider buying one again.

Radio is a huge issue, for me, I'm a measly 37 yet I listen primarily to AM radio or 80s on FM. I don't stream music on the phone, really don't use my phone for much beyond checking bank balance, email, ebay, or checking my retirement accounts. My Mav has shipped two weeks ago, am expecting it within two to three more weeks, really hope its radio works.

You may want to see if your go to stations have apps or a live stream via their website. Most do. That way you can stream them via bluetooth if you happen to have radio issues

That's a shame. AM/FM over-the-air radio has traditionally been reliable and also a safety tool in weather/traffic events. I've seen cell and streaming services overwhelmed during storm and snow events. Basic radio reception shouldn't be so reliant on buggy modern tech.

I tried the first part of this yesterday and it worked: "Hold down the power and next seek button 10 seconds for hard reset, also try steering wheel controls." Even if I have to do it every time I drive, it will get me by until they implement a fix. Still haven't tried the steering controls, maybe that is an easier solution.

One of the upgrades I am thinking about is to replace the front speakers. There is a YouTube video showing them being swapped. Main front door speakers don't look too bad. Front tweeters look a little awkward. Rear speakers look like a pain to replace. I will try the front door 6.5" speakers first.
