Ford Maverick 2024 Lariat Tremor Black IMG_9828
I just found a 2024 on the lot of my local dealer and got a great deal! I’ve had it about a week or so now and love the way the Tremor colors look with the all black, looks amazing!

I’ve just started giving her a few mods

1. Phone holder in that weird cubby next to the screen.

2. Limo tint all around and medium on the front window too. I hate the heat and sun on summer days. I know I know but you got a black truck! 😳 just remember I found the one and only Tremor left from 2024, didn’t have much of a choice unless I wanted to pay about $8k more. Then I’d just order them truck off my choosing. Either way, impossible to keep clean but it’s a truck and looks great clean or dirty.

3. Rough Country soft shell tunnel cover

4. Rough country tailgate shock

5. 5 way amp to boost the lariat system and installed a subwoofer I already had in an older vehicle.

More upgrades to come later as I get to know her better can’t wait to go on a long trip and see how comfortable these seats will be.

Any recommendations for a small 2” lift?

My recommendation if you do the lift is buy spare axles based on threads on here. Good looking truck.
Spare axels new or used? OK great I’ll look for the threads. Thanks for the advise
Try fitting an F-250 Super Duty in that driveway!

BTW, I love my bed extender. It works really well w/ the tonneau cover.
Exactly right?!?! 😂 I was shocked that I was able to get it in there. It made me so happy.

Yeah the whole bed is full of those bags. The bed extender and tonneau cover came in so clutch, nothing blew off when taking the recycle.

Mine is Ford. https://www.ford.com/product/bed-extender-by-lund-p2743965525

Keep in mind that the 'cleats' which the extender attaches to does cut into the 4' width of the bed opening, so you might find that annoying when you want to haul a lot of sheet lumber.

This video can show you how it works. I almost completely agree with this guy except that he and I are the opposite: I usually have it in the truck and find it very useful. Regardless, it at least shows you how it works.

Regarding the curved shape, I find that a bit dissappointing. Some say it's to clear the wheel wells, but it could be bigger and still do that. My theory is that they wanted to limit how much you would put on the tailgate so you don't get a saggy tailgate.

It’s Ford, I’m really enjoying it for everyday errands and shopping. Although I can imagine if you use your bed a lot for lumber sand/dirt/mulch it would be a pain in the butt to keep taking in and out, but it isn’t easy removal lift the gate up to a 45° angle and just pull straight out. It is super light and easily can be stored in your backseat if needed.

I really don’t have much use for the bed other than the every day purchase of a large item such as a dryer. My lumbering days are pretty much done.
