I drove a front-wheel drive Escape Hybrid for a lot of years, it came to an untimely end and that is why I bought the Maverick! I like the drive train.
It should get a couple of MPG more per gallon as well. At $27,503 before my $500 trade it is officially the most expensive vehicle I ever bought. The 23 Maverick was around $26,600 as I ordered it in September 2022 on the A-plan.

It does, quite a bit. 46.3mpg over 31mpg. At 28 thousand, my 2024 was the most expensive vehicle I've ever bought. My last new car was a 1985 IROCC Camero California Addition, red with black accents, no chrome. I stopped buying new after that. My First house in 1977 was 27,000. Jeeesh!

Bought a minivan in 2011 brand new for $27k flat, which was a ton off of list price. I think it listed around the same as this Escape, which was $36,475 MSRP.

The Maverick MSRP when built was $28,790 but I had price protection, plus A-plan, so I was around $2,200 below that.

One of the pictures my mechanic sent me of the Grand Marquis frame - 23 years of Ohio salted roads! Every fender and door had rust as well, though the floorplan, trunk lid, roof, and hood were rust free.

I should have been clearer. I'm looking for a '25 AWD XLT hybrid. Only one within 500 miles of me (Boston).
Yeah, I'm in Albuquerque and the hybrids have just been snapped up since ~July. It's very noticeable that recent arrivals have been heavily tilted towards EBs. Maybe these things happen in batches? I don't know, what I do know is that the 3-4 Mav owners I know are all specifically in the vehicle for the hybrid engine.

My first house was 45,600 in 1981. 13.5% interest rate and I earned less in 1981 than my SS is today. Whenever people say I remember when gas was 30 cents a gallon they seem to forget that wages was about a dollar an hour. My first brand new ordered the way I wanted it to be ( I thought) was a 1978 Blazer 4x4 with a 350 and I paid 6100 for it. I was making 4.55/hour at the time.

I know exactly what you are talking about. To show you what inflation is all about, I just bought my (probably) last house. It's on the river, and only 20 years old, but, $500,000. Ain't nothing cheep these days.

It's hard to believe that Ram, Toyota -- some manufacturer -- hasn't even tried to compete. They all sell small trucks overseas. A Rampage hybrid would definitely attract me -- in 6-7 years.

Interesting that the vehicles that were part of the 0/0/0 promo from August didn’t help sales much.

Watched an interesting YouTube video that says that these figures are sales from the manufacturer (Ford) to the dealer and not sales from dealers to end buyers.

Right now it seems like a lot of ecoboost models are piling up at least in my area.
