It's Costco oil, you can pour it back in the bottle and return it

I am not that guy, but I have heard numerous tales of Costco returns where I think they should have just told the fool to go screw hisself.

Good for you. What do you do for a living? Would you work for ZERO for an hour to do it? Did you include time to buy the supplies, dispose of the oil properly I HOPE, clean up your garage etc.?
What do you mean would I work for zero? Should i pay myself when I change my own oil? lol
Buying oil from costcos website and filters from rockauto? maybe 5 minutes? And i buy enough for 5 oil changes so 5 minutes per 5 oil changes? An autozone a block from my house so I guess another 5 minutes to dispose the oil?
Im an aircraft mechanic so I already have the tools to do this. Im not encouraging people to do it themselves. Im just adding another data point in this thread for potential cost.

Totally agree. A benefit I like even more than the time/money savings is that when I've taken off the skid plate and am up close and personal with the driveline, I am able to get an overview of how the truck is doing - looking for leaks, wear, etc. The dealer may say they do a "multipoint inspection," but I assure you my motivation is very different than theirs.

The most important part of 'Do it Yourself' is you know it is done right. The secondary benefit is the inspection of the under side of your Maverick.

I am unsure if I can change mine after looking under the front of my Maverick. It has a cover under the engine compartment. I would call it a skidpan if it was metal.
