Immaculate 2-door Ranger on Bring a Trailer

Unbelievable how clean this thing is and if I squint I can see some family resemblance with the Maverick

Whenever I see a really basic vehicle like this survive in perfect condition I'm in awe. Someone decided to take excessive care of a bare-bones car and I love seeing it. A few years ago I saw a late 80s Ford Escort with a little grandma driving it, it looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom with even the steel wheels perfectly clean

This is beautiful! I just made a move across the country and my parents are keeping watch over my 2022 Maverick until I fly back to grab it (luckily I don't need a car right this second and they take it out once a week).

But ... I found myself really looking at old rangers and f150s just last week. Part of me does not want to make the 32 hour drive again (, but the other just really loves the look and the bare bones nature of these 90s and older vehicles. The wife's car can be something new, give me the old square body trucks!

It would ruin it, but you can get a kit to make 1st gen rangers look like previous gen (2011) so then it would maybe look closer.

If you find one cheap with "good bones" though and messy front end, then that might be more worth it.
