Ford should do some steel wheels that look that good as the tier up from basic steelies. They look a lot better than most of the alloy wheels these days. Love the design of the tailgate, and the fonts on the owners manual and brochure. In theory I love the spartan nature of the rest of the vehicle, but for me since I only haul small loads, the crew cab with comfortable front bucket seats is honestly just better value being a car replacement pickup.

I also have to say that for all people espouse to love simple, cheap vehicles, Americans sure do love buying the most expensive vehicle they can, with the most stuff jammed in it as possible.

Unbelievable how clean this thing is and if I squint I can see some family resemblance with the Maverick

Whenever I see a really basic vehicle like this survive in perfect condition I'm in awe. Someone decided to take excessive care of a bare-bones car and I love seeing it. A few years ago I saw a late 80s Ford Escort with a little grandma driving it, it looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom with even the steel wheels perfectly clean

I had a 2.9 in the 89 Ranger I had and My Cousin had one in his 89 Ranger and my Dad may he RIP had one in a Bronco II.

Interesting that it has an oil LEVEL gauge. In all the vehicles I have owned over the decades none have ever had an oil level gauge. WHY?? Would LOVE that feature in my Maverick.
