I've always thought that '55-'57 Chevies were some if the best looking cars ever.Kinda also reminds me of the ‘57 Chevy bumper, which I love, cause of the year I was brought into this effed up world! Mind you, wasn’t then!
They don’t make’em like the used to! 55-57 Shoeboxes rule!I prefer the 57 Fairlane. My brothers had so many 55 to 57 Chevys, when they were just used cars, that I got tired of seeing them. 1 brother had a 56 Chrysler with the push button automatic
I'm not old enough to have seen it, but noone who did seems to remember whether or not she had a face . . .I'm so old I got the Dagmar reference. I was just a young lad when she was on television,

Found Ms Bumperette....I'm so old I got the Dagmar reference. I was just a young lad when she was on television, but I'd started to notice certain features on...cars.
I’ve had mine only 3 months and I’m still doing the same!!! Love my hybrid 24! Cept for no led tailights!! UghI’ve had my Maverick for about 5 months and I absolutely love it. I park it outside my front window so I can walk over and look at it whenever it pleases me. The last time I was this giddy is when I met my wife. Sorry for the negativity but it’s the way I feel.![]()
It is a Ford OEM scoop made by Air Design. CA headquarters, manufactured in North America (Mexico). I bought one & it is very well made!I love that hood!!!
Luckily there are drain holes on the lower edge of scoop. Although my waterless wash/wax concoction will be useless. Will have to hose it every now & then gasp.Imagine how much yellow pollen, dead bugs, etc will end up under there.
No holes in the hood…yetI would not say that this is an unpopular thread. It looks good, even though there are no holes in the hood and it is fake. What I would like to see is a cover attached to the end of the hood that goes over the wingshield wipers and covers that gaping hole between the hood and the windshield to keep foreign objects from getting into the engine bay.
Looking forward to your solution, confidence level is high.It is a Ford OEM scoop made by Air Design. CA headquarters, manufactured in North America (Mexico). I bought one & it is very well made!
Not attached it yet (wide 3M tape & 3M adhesive caulk).
I’m torn - plain hood too plain, black pops too much with Velocity Blue, and painted too pretty?
Anyway, I’ll figure it out![]()
