I would prefer one of these with keys. I don't trust cheap combination locks.

Seems like a "steal" with or without the discount. Has anyone had a bad experience? I guess the lock could fail and you would have to run a grinder carefully to cut off the locking tab.

I thought about the console safe, but ended up going another route. I did not want to give up the space in the console. Here’s a link to the safe I bought through Amazon. I placed it under the drivers seat and looped the cable around the seat post. I stuck 4 Velcro pads to the bottom so it won’t slide around. It is secure, with no interference with the electric seat movement and fairly easy access. I’m sure there are many other great safes to choose from. This one works great for my purposes.

The price for the Dalmbox Safe alone ( https://a.co/d/5nw8y3D ) is a good deal. Besides, it's not like I would put valuables in there all the time and it is out of sight. Plus you get both locking options and several sizes.

I have one installed. It’s actually from Ford and was free from the dealership. I didn’t have any issues installing it. Works great! Of course, this is not the official product but looks very close. It’s certainly less expensive as the Ford product is over $300!
