Just saw this and went to order on amazon but says it's out of stock.

Even looking at my stack of S-VHS tapes and HD-DVDs, I said I would never be the first to try new tech again.

I took a chance anyway and installed them a few hours after delivery today. My initial thoughts:
- Instructions need a little polish. It wasn't clear that the originals hooks were to be mounted on the ratchet plates. I'd advise anyone with these hooks to first install them loosely on the plate before mounting the ratchet to the bed.
- The included extra bolt and nut was a nice touch. The nut was self-locking, too.
- Took me a minute to figure out how to engage the spring-loaded retraction. I won't miss my mangled piles of straps.

Have a road trip this weekend, I'll see how they work out in practice.

i got the taillights they pretty good, I was holding out for the FORM ones but they were taking too long to release.

Update.... I really like the tail lights, but I see they are not DOT approved. Not feeling like spending that money with the chance I'll have to remove them because they're not legal here.

Haven't received mine yet but it looks like from the video review on the ordering page that I may have to widen the mounting holes just a little bit to give clearance for my hard bed cover mounting rails. Shouldn't be too hard to do as long as it doesn't affect the strength of the mounting brackets.

Had high hopes for these - busted the plastic guide on both the first time I used them to secure EMT conduit. Essentially ruins the retracting feature since the strap now gets all caught up in the broken spot.

For reference - I've been using rhino retractable straps mounted to the bed rail threads for months now and haven't been able to damage them in the slightest.
