I tried to search for it without luck. When are people doing their first oil change on a new maverick.
I know the “OEM factory filter” is smaller then normal and have a coupon to get oil a little cheaper so thinking about doing it this weekend I’m just over 3000K and have pulled my camping trailer a couple times.
What is the weight of the oil? 0W 20?

🤔 The OEM filter is a regular filter size for a Maverick?
Correction
Ford doesn't install a smaller filter just for production. If I'm wrong.
I am wrong
I would sure like to see a side-by-side picture comparison.
and here is the picture proof👇👇

Yes. The Oil weight is 0w20 as stated in at least two places. Your manual and if you forget or don't feel like referring to the manual. Open the hood, it's on the oil cap👍

My 23 owner's manual states Full Synthetic for the hybrid 2.5

Your manual will tell you to use 0W20 Full Synthetic - not a blend, for your Hybrid. Use a name brand. The Motorcraft FL910s filter is also recommended in the manual. Walmart has them. Avoid Amazon - some of theirs are counterfeit Motorcraft.

Not a bad idea to go ahead and change it, even though your Hybrid may have only operated the gasoline engine for maybe half of those 3k miles if you drive a lot of city miles.

If towing a lot, you'll need to change it using severe duty recommendations.

I did my first oil change at 1300 miles and the factory oil filter was considerably smaller than the MC910S that I replaced it with. I don't think you hurt anything by waiting until 3k miles, but I'd recommend you go ahead and change it. I echo other comments, yes, 0W-20 full synthetic and MC910S oil filter. It takes 5.7qts including filter. The plastic cover under the truck takes (15) T30 bolts and the oil plug requires a 15mm socket. To each their own; I decided to change oil again at 10k miles just to keep the interval easy to remember at every 10k mile mark.

I did mine at 1,100. If you don't do yours until the Maverick tells you to you'll be just fine as well.

Changing my PTU and RDU fluids this weekend.

My factory filter was a short one.

I should have noted any model numbers on it.

But I was more than aggravated getting it off due to being over-torqued and was very done with it, and would have needed a total oil run wipe off to read the sides anyway.

I did my 1st change at estimated break-in 1000 miles on the ICE - which from stats appeared to be about 1860 miles, and OLM had 79% estimated. That estimate was WAY off then, by the time I got to 0% OLM.

Try searching harder. Use google if necessary. AI even.

This topic is beat to death.

Also the "K" is short for 1,000.
3000K is either a temperature of 3000 Kelvin, or 3,000,000 miles. A bit long for any oil change, let alone your first.

When in doubt - ignore the internet and read your owner's manual. Ford provides your warranty, not randos on the internet.

Picture dude my guess is you didn’t change your own, just an idea not based on fact!

You have owned five Maverick hybrids and you are just now trying to figure out when to change the oil?

What did you do with the other ones?
