Mine looks like this:
Ford Maverick Latest recall? Securing the passenger airbag disable indicator padi lamp to the instrument bezel 20250524_121658

It looks wrong. I was planning to take it in as a warranty issue, but it appears that now I need to wait for the recall.

Oh yeah. Yours is pushed in. So that's the recall. That it can fall in and therefore you wouldn't see the lights. Not sure who wouldn't notice a hole in their dash though. Ive pushed on and it's solid. Kind of strange. Must have been a bad batch of plastic clips on some of them.

I am listening to Tim over at Long McArthur and he is saying that vehicles built after 25 April will be able to be sold. But also stated everything he has on his lot at the moment was built before that date so it is really going to hurt them. Said Maverick sales have been very good this year. Said they still have some 24's that they can sell. So just a heads up.

25's were not produced in Apr 2024.

This must include some 24MY's.
Unless the paperwork has changed since printed.

So either the MY stated is wrong.
Or the beginning date is wrong.
April spelled out though.
Yes, reproduction trucks were produced as early as April. Where do you think the 2025 spy shots came from?

Sorry if this has already been discussed so every single Maverick sold before April 25 will be recalled? Probably dumb question but if I have a dealership complete an oil change will they keep my truck until a fix is confirmed and completed?

No.
Once you've taken delivery.
Outside of a repossession. For missed payments.
No dealer can take possession of your truck while it's in for service and hold it hostage for a recall repair.

Some have said it has happened. They conveniently failed to mention, that they agreed to the dealership holding their truck over safety concerns.

Tim says the dealer can sell them to you, but they aren't allowed to deliver them until the fix is performed.

Hello everyone,

I'm in Argentina, and today I was supposed to receive a Maverick Tremor, but the delivery was canceled due to recall 25C17.

I have a few questions—maybe you can help me. First of all, my VIN is not affected, as far as I can tell. I double-checked it.

I also used the VIN search on Ford.com, which confirms it’s not affected, and the NHTSA site shows zero recalls for this VIN.

What can I do? Ford Argentina sent a notice to all dealerships to stop delivering Mavericks, reportedly following instructions from Ford U.S.A.

So… what now?

Thanks!

From the:
National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration
June 03, 2025
Case 25V350

...

Remedy:
Dealers will install air bag indicator light retaining clips, free of charge. Owner notification letters
notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed June 9, 2025. Second letters will be sent
once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's
number for this recall is 25C17.

So.. anyone know if these "air bag indicator light retaining clips" are a simple dash interior clip any shop would have. Or we waiting on some specialised custom plastic part to be designed and shipped?

:) hum, hit the easy button, just: https://supergluecorp.com/
The trouble is that superglue doesn't hold for long. It won't even hold LEGO bricks together for more than a week or so.

Yes, there are some specialised superglue formulations However, I have also seen the specialised formulations frequently fail.

Superglue is a good product, and it is definitely useful. But it is not a long-term adhesive.

It was meant as a joke, i.e. the smilie face. Sorry if anyone took it serious.
