Any vehicle made after April 25, 2025 isn't under recall.
The date range initially filed doesn't necessarily preclude expanding it. Really, we'll have better understanding of the scope of the issue when the NHTSA mirrors the report/chronology finding. The notice to dealers/owners can be somewhat superficial as to the nature of the issue.

It's really not a big deal...
A stop-sale order is an extremely big deal for any automotive manufacturer, and one I'm certain Ford didn't want to suffer again on the Maverick over a five-cent part.

Oh, and yeah, it's also an extremely big deal to me, seeing as had I only been on the lot the day before, I'd have my truck right now, and wouldn't care at all about a light that may or may not work.

Anyway... my dealer is looking at ordering me a replacement truck with all the same options, and has committed to giving it to me at the same great price I locked in two months ago, prior to the tariff increases. The only question now is whether a new truck makes it to the lot faster than the recall fix (well, that, and the hope that interest rates don't appreciably increase if and when I replace my auto loan!).

I've had my 2025 Lobo for about 2 weeks. Looked at Ford Pass yesterday and I have the recall.

Sorry For the wrong impression. By not a big deal i simply meant it wasn’t dangerous . Some recalls are a “big deal “ in that if they’re not done, something tragic could happen because something will malfunction. I wasn’t trying to minimize the importance of you getting your vehicle. I was just saying that the Truck is still perfectly safe to operate even if the recall isn’t done right away. Again, sorry for giving the wrong impression

We at the dealership get the advance notice that describes the issue. The issue is simple and straightforward. The indicator light can fall inside and become not visible. That’s all. So the recall will at most involve replacing the indicator, the vent that it sits in, or both with an updated part. The date range could expand. But that’s unlikely since the current date is only one month prior to the release of the recall,

The advance notice sometimes can be informative insofar as it lists the manufactured date ranges more specifically, but otherwise the real meat is in the NHTSA report filing. That usually goes more in depth on the parts/trims affected, some idea of how common it is in the number failures of the type there were before being raised to the internal recall group, the determination of the root cause, and intended resolution manner and rollout timeframe.

Waiting to take delivery on a 2025 Lariat. Mfg date is 02/25. Hold / stop sale. I’m hopeful Ford will verify not affected and releases for sale later in the week.

What on earth has taken them so long to get that truck to you? 2/25 date and you still don't have it?

It’s at the dealership (special order customer didn’t take). They can’t finalize until released from stop sale.

I know what you’re saying. But the advance notice SPECIFICALLY lists the problem (the indicator falls out of position and becomes invisible. ) I looked up the procedure for replacing the indicator in the workshop manual. You remove the center vent. Then you snap the indicator loose and pull it out. Then you snap the new one into place. So there are only a few potential failur points. 1. The snaps on the vent. 2. The snaps on the indicator. 3. one or the other not being sized properly. So ford may have a revised part number for the center vent or for the indicator, or both. or They may have us to inspect and further secure the components. Those are literally the only possibilities for A part falling out of place. Again, everything is in the center vent.

25's were not produced in Apr 2024.

This must include some 24MY's.
Unless the paperwork has changed since printed.

So either the MY stated is wrong.
Or the beginning date is wrong.
April spelled out though.

So your seeing the recall notice on yours? Where did you see it? I picked up my XLT on Thursday (day before the stop sale) and I don't see anything in my Ford Pass App or when I log into my Ford account or on the NHTSA vin recall lookup website. The blend date at the bottom of my sticker say 4/24/25 so literally one day before the cutoff date if my truck was actually assembled on that date. I've read that the blend date can very + or - a few days so who knows.
