Well any sale stops on the 2025 will definitely provide Ford an opportunity to unload the remaining 2024 stock - I took delivery Jan 24, 2025 on my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid and haven’t received any notifications

Got the same alert in FordPass as @MontgomeryLittle on my XLT built 2/25. Also got an email from Carfax stating same thing.
So I guess it does affect XLT's as well. I know there was talk that this was only affecting Lariats but I've seen a few mention their XLT is affected so there goes that theory. I just picked up my XLT on Thursday and the blend date on the window sticker is 4/24/25. I'm not seeing a recall notice for my truck yet though (nothing in Ford Pass app or Ford.com account or NHTSA vin recall lookup).

Hope it was not malformed plastic on the back side of panel, or some assembly line days had over-torqued screws stripping it out on back side.

Maybe it doesn't require removing the whole panel area.
Yikes the potential for new noises.
AMEN!

Sounds like it's time for the old guys to break out the silicone caulk 😲

Let's hope the bezel really can be taken off to get to the light.
It's a ford.

You have to pull the console (9-10 hours time) before doing half hour repairs.

Pray that I do not alter this furtherto pulling the engine!

🤪

Ford service department scenario.
Oops, snapped off the bezel tabs.
Part is on indefinite backorder.

Unfortunately I got a recall alert on my FordPass App for my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid explaining the issue, it stated the fix is not available at this time and that I will be notified if required so although it is a concern it didn’t seem to have any urgency to it

Anyone have any idea if this will delay orders that haven’t been scheduled yet? Placed my order in early April.

Probably not substantially. If they already haven't implemented a fix on line production, the button module is easy enough to install they'd likely just build and sideline units until a corrected version is available.

The stop sale states the dates of manufacture. So I don't see why it would affect trucks built after that date range.

Unfortunately, this is a big enough deal that Ford issued a stop sale until it's repaired.

How do I know?

I was literally on my way to the dealership to pass them a nice fat check and finally pick up my 2025 Lariat Hybrid.

I was a half hour out when my sales rep called me with the bad news-- "Sorry, spoke to Ford, spoke to my boss, but I can't deliver the truck today. Don't know when there will be a fix, or what that fix will be."

Of course, the real painful irony here is that I'm a solo driver, i.e. there won't be any passengers for a long time to come. And even if they were, I don't think I'd need the flippin' light!

Oh well. Such is life.
It's really not a big deal. The function is unaffected. It's just that the indicator light could drop out of sight. So Ford considers it a safety issue

Any vehicle made after April 25, 2025 isn't under recall.

Now I know the sales rep was correct. Couldn’t take delivery of the Tremor today because of the recall. Although it’s been sitting at their lot since January, so maybe just maybe it escaped the recall list. Will get more clarity after the holiday weekend.
