Unfortunately, this is a big enough deal that Ford issued a stop sale until it's repaired.

How do I know?

I was literally on my way to the dealership to pass them a nice fat check and finally pick up my 2025 Lariat Hybrid.

I was a half hour out when my sales rep called me with the bad news-- "Sorry, spoke to Ford, spoke to my boss, but I can't deliver the truck today. Don't know when there will be a fix, or what that fix will be."

Of course, the real painful irony here is that I'm a solo driver, i.e. there won't be any passengers for a long time to come. And even if they were, I don't think I'd need the flippin' light!

Oh well. Such is life.

Safety Risk
A padi lamp that becomes dislodged may not be visible to the driver and passengers. As a result, they may not know whether the passenger airbag is on or off, potentially increasing the risk of passenger injury in a crash.
Remedy
When the remedy is available, Ford Motor Company will send a letter to inform you to contact your dealer to schedule a repair.

Hope it was not malformed plastic on the back side of panel, or some assembly line days had over-torqued screws stripping it out on back side.

Maybe it doesn't require removing the whole panel area.
Yikes the potential for new noises.

So not the bezel being screwed in, the light on the back remaining attached.

Let's hope the bezel really can be taken off to get to the light.

My 2022 had alot of what i call over protective recall.battery was replaced but that was all i had done.some of it was stuff that just didn’t make since.but i give ford credit for realizing they may have made a mistake and trying to fix things.

Fire Jim Farely. He's been CEO for five years and Ford has been the most recalled brand almost every one of those years. Every quarter he talks about how these issues are killing them but nothing gets done about it. A lot of the issues precede him (Ford is the most recalled brand of the past decade) but still.
