Hope it was not malformed plastic on the back side of panel, or some assembly line days had over-torqued screws stripping it out on back side.Issue Date

Description
On your vehicle, the passenger airbag disable indicator padi lamp may become dislodged from the instrument panel bezel.
Safety Risk
A padi lamp that becomes dislodged may not be visible to the driver and passengers. As a result, they may not know whether the passenger airbag is on or off, potentially increasing the risk of passenger injury in a crash.
Remedy
When the remedy is available, Ford Motor Company will send a letter to inform you to contact your dealer to schedule a repair.
LolFire Jim Farely. He's been CEO for five years and Ford has been the most recalled brand almost every one of those years. Every quarter he talks about how these issues are killing them but nothing gets done about it. A lot of the issues precede him (Ford is the most recalled brand of the past decade) but still.
