Flipping the day/night mirror lever works fine.

Auto dim is nice, but not a big deal. The KIA mirror (and Subaru too, for all I know) is Homelink, and that really is a big deal. Or it is if you have a garage anyway.
I'd assume the answer is yes, but that's the same as having a garage door opener button on your visor. So unless you keep your garage door button on your person or bring it in every night, it's arguably no additional risk.Question for you.
Your vehicle is parked and locked outside of your garage.
If someone where to break your vehicle window and reach in. Could they open your garage door from the mirror?
Depends how you wire it the mirror if you wire the homelink portion to battery power yes, if you wire it to accessory power no. I wired both I installed to accessory power so the homelink buttons only have power with the key in the ignition and turned to on or run.Question for you.

I have never kept a garage door remote control on the sun visor for that reason.I'd assume the answer is yes, but that's the same as having a garage door opener button on your visor. That makes sense.Depends how you wire it the mirror if you wire the homelink portion to battery power yes, if you wire it to accessory power no. I wired both I installed to accessory power so the homelink buttons only have power with the key in the ignition and turned to on or run.
Thank you for that... That's a detail I might of missed if I were to install this... The scenario of break into car to access the house just wasn't on my radar.... But now, I'd go through that extra work to ensure it's disabled when accessory power is off. Very helpful post!!Depends how you wire it the mirror if you wire the homelink portion to battery power yes, if you wire it to accessory power no.
