I’m new to these forums as I just bought a 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremor basically brand new only a few miles from test drives.

What are some good, functional cosmetic upgrades for this sexy beast? I was thinking maybe window deflectors, hood protector, maybe even fender flares. Any suggestions on these or any other things are welcome!

Take it from a fellow LARIAT owner:

Find some base model XL Steel Wheels and replace the OEM Wheel/Tire combo.

It lets the other Maverick owners know that you didn't overpay for your vehicle (because you were so much more savvy and frugal).

At which point you can add EVERY aftermarket trinket and accessory available even if all the aforementioned trinkets would cost more than a LARIAT!

Now, you can "finance-shame" every other Maverick owner that has power seats, heated steering wheel, and rear window pass-through, because you are more virtuous and would never spend so elaborately and frivolously.

I would skip the accessories you mentioned in the first post and instead get paint protection film for the front fascia, partial hood and door handle cups.

Hard roll up bed cover and the tailgate damper. I bought the Ford hard roll up for the Tremor, and have a Sentry on the hybrid. The Gord cover isn’t as nice, but it’s a couple hundred cheaper.

The tailgate damper is sold under a dozen brand names. My Lariat hybrid got a Rough Country that cost $35 from Amazon. The Tremor got a generic Amazon of a brand I don’t remember, but it’s pretty much the same as the Rough and half the price.

The Tremor needs better floor mats than the carpeted mats that came with it (23 Lariat Tremor). I bought it from dealer stock, otherwise I would have ordered the dealer rubber mats. Wethertek is garbage, based on the sets I hadown in my Transit and currently have in my ancient Super Duty.

Otherwise, most aftermarket accessories are useless and ugly bling, in my opinion.

Your dealer ripped you off. The Tremor comes with BOTH all weather and carpeted mats.

A salesman probably took the all-weather floor mats from the "OP's" Tremor to make a sale on another Maverick. Sucks but it happens.

Terrence, you just joined... Get back to us in 3 years when you've answered the same questions over and over and over again... OP was lazy.... This isn't 1996 when the Internet was new.... Folks know how to search... There is nothing useless about subtly suggesting they search... But if you want to be everyone's personal curator of information, then have it... respond away... Sorry for my 'useless crap'....
Or maybe OP is also a newbie to the forums and wasn’t totally familiar with everything yet. It happens. No need for anyone to be jerks about it. Now I know to do a search first before asking silly questions.

If you don't want to answer the question DON'T! I would like recommendations on door sill protectors but will not post NOW because of A-Holes like you! I did a search and 10 pages of posts about it. Many of which are useless. So if you don;t want to be helpful fine. But no need to POST that you don;t want to be. And because of the GREAT friendly sh*t over my 12 days on here I trying to remove myself from the Maverick Assholes Club!
Thank you for your politeness and the name calling after just 12 days. I'm sorry searching and reading is difficult for you and that finding answers requires effort. I wish I could do more to ease your suffering... The good news is, you'll find others willing to do it for you, so don't get too worked up.... Help will be on the way...

Basically, every question you can think of has been answered at some point and can be looked up. The purpose of the forum is to engage in discussions with new and old members in real time. So what if a question has been asked 20 times before. Ignore it and move on, let the people interested have a discussion without the bs "look it up" replies. Just my opinion. Btw, there is a really neat "ignore" feature available. 😬

I notice you deleted the original reply to the OP. Why is that? Touch a nerve did I. P.S. when you get on your knowledge high horse learn to spell my name right since it is listed right on the page! Maybe you should just not read posts from new members asking questions and we won't annoy you!
No, Mods removed my posts because it appears to have made folks cry ...

They may have removed yours as well, as it probably made people laugh ...

Peter beat me to it by a minute, but FYI I think this was an admin cleanup because even my post where I literally did the legwork is gone. Oh well.

IMHO the problem is that every time someone starts a new thread and asks a redundant question, it makes it HARDER to get answers - because the haystack with the needles in it is getting bigger...

As an example, I have been following a thread about something and then come across an identical, concurrently active thread on the same exact topic, with a whole different subset of forum members taking part. I suppose if the two threads had members with different skill sets and backgrounds, maybe they could arrive at different solutions, each with their own merit. Ok, so having to review multiple threads to gather the best, aggregate information that has been building up for going on 4 years now is not the end of the world. But, if there are already a dozen threads that ask “what is this red/black wire harness wrapped in plastic in my underseat storage” how does making a 13th thread on this improve the site?

Anyway, just once I would like to see a new thread titled “WHAT IS THIS” and then open it up to find this… :D
