yes. i can confirm, because i just did it today. left the key fob in the maverick, ran into the house to get something, came out and the damn thing self-locked, running, with the fob in the car. i had to go back into the house, get the other fob, unlock door, get in.

will be adding that keypad as soon as it arrives!

It would help if you can replicate and video the situation that happened to you and post it.
Not one member has been able to replicate, video and post the auto locking of their 22-24 Maverick.
Yours would be the first autolock from a 2025.
One member "FrankFord" was kind enough to video his video was too large to post on the forum.
He sent it to me in a email. After reviewing it. I asked if he could slow down the panning, allowing me to observe whether the driver's door was indeed unlocked when it was closed. Unfortunately, he is not active on the form or replied to my DMs.

@Glen Baker LLC - yeah i saw your post this morning. hold your horses!

i tried today, could not duplicate whatever i did last night. i was working in the car last night setting up a new dash cam and tinkering with all the settings in sync, so i was in the car a while. it was on and running, i had to extend the run time because i wasn't driving anywhere. the keys were on the passenger seat. i needed a different cable for the dash cam and went in the house to find a different usb-c cable. i had closed the door. then i was talking to a family member, and made a pit stop and was in the house maybe 20 minutes and came back out. all the doors were locked. tried all 4. the car was still running. the dash was all light up. and i was very unhappy (and in a slight panic). had to back in the house, go in my safe, get the other key fob, came back out, door unlocked and i got in.

tried today and i couldn't manually lock the doors with the key fob in there, it would honk twice and would immediately unlock. i didn't try the extended run time and not going anywhere because i didn't have that much time to waste. so i'm not sure if that's what did it, or if it was a one-time glitch in the system or what. but it did happen and it did scare me. my escape will not allow me to lock the keys in the car, has the same sync4a system.

i might try more later this week when i have time. for now i've been busy adding a few accessories and enjoying some drive time.

Hey, thanks for trying.
I was hoping maybe someone could replicate the auto lock phenomenon.
Have fun with your new truck.
👍 On the dash cam.

I have a 23 Lariat with the built in keypad. Several of my previous vehicles had this, and I use it a fair amount. Like others have said, there are times you want to leave your fob, wallet and phone in the truck. My wife has a 2018 Lincoln MKX with a keyless entry, but it does not have buttons; more of a touch point type. Of course, it hasn't worked now for 2 years.

Well this is disappointing. Guess they can't get the parts to build them from a foreign country. Wonder how long before they can't get the parts to build vehicles. Did get my refund within seconds of this email though.

Thank you for placing your order with Tasca Parts!

While reviewing your order (Order ####) for processing I've discovered an issue. Part # SK4Z-14A626-A is currently on national backorder with the automotive manufacturer and has no estimated date of resupply. We do not currently have this item in stock at our warehouse and are unable to acquire it at this time. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, sometimes the demand for certain parts and accessories exceeds manufacturers’ current supplies. I apologize for the inconvenience.

To prevent any further inconvenience, I have canceled and refunded your order. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to clear.

Hopefully, we can better serve your OEM parts needs in the future!

Thank you for your business!

Kind Regards,
Yarilise Sullivan

That explains why my dealer hasn't gotten back to me on it. I wasn't sure when he said it'd stick on the door that I'd like the way it looks. He said he'd send me a picture. But after seeing someone put it on the tailgate, I'm onboard.
I'm going to reach out today in case they can find one.
It took me 1 1/2 weeks with the truck to get annoyed that I don't have it.

Finally got a response from my dealer - seems it was the same as yours:
" The parts department finally got back to me about the keyless entry pad and they informed me that it is not available to order for the 2025 Mavericks. They are not sure why this is the case but the assumption is that they haven't released the updated technology yet for the new year models. "

Obviously there was one available, but they clearly are no longer offering it. He said he'd let me know if they become available - but I'm guessing we'll hear it here first!

I wonder how much parts availability from overseas might have to do with the constraint. I seriously doubt it's manufactured in the US and I doubt anyone's going to pay an inflated price for one. I just hope they bring it back some day in the future, it's damn useful.

My 25 Mav came with the keypad as a dealer installed option (someone else’s build that changed their mind). It works very well.

However, as I understand, the battery is “permanent” - i.e. when it dies you need a new keypad. Since it’s glued to the paint, I am concerned how this will play out. Hopefully, it will last for years - otherwise qI will be very disgruntled….

2025-06-25 Update

Happy to report I ordered part SK4Z-14A626-A from TascaParts for $126.56. It arrived within a week. My dealer charged me $80 to pair it with my 2025 Maverick Lariat. It works just fine. I haven't decided where to affix it to the truck yet, on the pillar just sticks out a bit.

Won't be locking myself out again. 😃
