Welp, looks like I'll be joining the bad axles and transmission club...🤦
Are bad axles causing bad transmissions? That would make me think it upgrade/change out the axles with the new part numbers before they become an issue and kill the transmission.

Good question. Possibly?

AFAIK, transmission was fine before I had both axles replaced. Once I got the truck back, it sounded like a few loose rocks were rolling around in the transmission. The noise is particularly present just off idle/hybrid battery warm-up.

I'll update once the replacement goes in.

Fortunately, the dealership has been really good to work with. Unfortunately, it doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the longevity of the truck beyond the warranty period.

I also took my 2022 Maverick hybrid in to the shop for a wobbly between 45-60 mph and they replaced both of my axels. After picking it back up from Ford Square in Mt Vernon IL It now has a rubbing, grinding, popping noise while it's in idle with the engine running and I've since taken it back to the dealership twice to find out why. I've even had them sit in the car and listen to it with me but they keep insisting it's a normal sound they all make and it just isn't. It just keeps getting louder and more concerning sounding too. I'm not sure what to do I'm at around 22k miles and don't want to get out of warranty only to have my transmission fail. I'm out in the middle of nowhere so there's not a lot of dealership options around. Ford Motor Company where you at?

We just dropped off our 2022 hybrid off with clunking sound when going from electric to engine on start up. The dealer heard it and is taking apart the transmission. This is after having the cv's changed out a second time with the new upgrade. We are at 58k!

Wow these incidents of bad ecvt transmissions are a bit concerning. It looks like most of the issues (at least on this thread) are the MY22 Hybrid Maverick's. Maybe it was a bad batch of ecvt's? Hopefully they make everything right for all and that the newer models don't have these transmission issues:)

The dealer just called and said they completed the recall work it was brought in for but found bad axles. They replaced those and then found that the transmission was also bad due to a bad bearing that is not dealer-replaceable. This requires ordering a transmission and a full engine out replacement of the tranny which will take 4-8 weeks if all goes well. I am out of a car for that time I guess, so that is awesome... Luckily this is under a 3/36k warranty and I have the 7/100k warranty as well but what good is that if it's in the shop every other month for another safety recall?
I had the same issue at 60k miles, didn’t bring it in for repair til 70.2k miles and Ford only partially covering the costs since it was right outside the 70k miles warranty.
