Today I got a recall notice from Ford concerning the driver side seat belt buckle. A year ago mine failed and Ford replaced it under warranty. I was wondering if this recall applies to me or the replacement part was still subject to the recall.

Depending upon the language in the recall letter.
You may want to call Ford or your local dealership and ask them specifically.
Then post an update. 👍

If it's Campaign 24N08 then it's not a recall but a Customer Satisfaction Program. So extended warranty coverage to replace the component if it fails.

I will look again, but i read it as a wire might break and had until 2026 to take care of it.

Got mine yesterday. No rush on this one. I’ll just have it done whenever I need a dealer service in the future.

Mine did break about a year ago. I was just wondering if the replacement has the same issue.

Kind of odd not a recall. When mine went bad, no airbags. Sounds like a safety issue. I had to wait about 6 weeks to get the part.

Maybe the first one you had done was different.
This letter specifically says airbags and pretensioners are not affected. Like you said it looks like a year to get it replaced.

Perhaps it was a different issue. But I had no airbags nor cruise control. Don't want to jinx myself but that's been the only issue I have had so far.

You cut off the top half of the first paragraph...
Which reads...( Abbreviated ).

...Athough your vehicle's driver's side seat buckle is likely fine, FMC is providing a one-time repair of the buckle. This one-time repair is available for a total of 15 years or 250,000 miles from the warranty start date, whichever occurs first..

The one year limitation ONLY applies IF your already out of warranty coverage due to either mileage or the vehicles in service date. My interpretation is the buckle is covered for15 years OR 250, 000miles
And I don't think any of us have owned the Maverick for 15 years yet

However the caveat is...if you have exceeded time (15 years can't happen) or mileage (250,000, virtually impossible) at the time CSP was issued, you have until April 2026 for it to be fixed. Pretty much everyone of us affected have an extended warranty on the seat belt "if" the airbag light is on "and" the associated code is stored.

Yesterday, when scheduling an oil change I asked them about the seat buckle recall and they said they could only do it if the air bag lights had come on. It is a sensor wire that sometimes breaks.

Mmmm didn't another poster say the airbags are not affected?

Yep. The CSP states that even though you may get the airbag light, the seat belt will still buckle and the seat belt tensioner and airbag will still operate. You will also get a question mark instead of green checkmark when the seat belt is engaged.
