Hi on my 22 Eco awd lariat I am having seat belt issues I get a notice on the display saying rear seat belt monitor fault. I activated the seat belt screen in the display. There it says it does not know if the driver seat belt is buckled. Passenger seems to work. Going to the dealer on Friday. Not sure if I have 2 issues or just the one. And what any potential fix is.

We have to keep our middle seatbelt buckled at all times, otherwise the stupid screen will not go away.

No, I don't take cars in for things... I like things to be done right.
I would definitely try to fix the cause of the issue but check out my forscan spreadsheet as you can disable the seatbelt menu and chimes completely or change the way it behaves so it actually goes away when only the driver buckles.

I had a very similar fault issue show on my dash. The dealer ended up replacing the LH rear seat belt sensor assy under warranty on my "23 Mav Lariat Lux Eco. PS - my dealer had to order the part (2 days).

If you keep the seat belt buckled and there is an accident with no one in the seatbelt it will still blow the pyro charge and you will have to replace all seat belts that were buckled. Don’t know why the seat sensors don’t override this but pre tensioners and cable retracts on front ones will pop and retract causing an additional 300$ plus labor or so per seatbelt in damage, up to 800-1000$just letting you all know. I had a salvage with only driver in it / driver airbag go off . But had to replace the rear seatbelts too because someone kept them buckled all the time . Probably because they had weight ( storage) on rear seat and the belt nanny would scream at them.( can be changed in forscan).
