Start/stop problem

When I stop and it shuts off at a stoplight and I let off of the brake pedal the truck will not restart until I press on the gas pedal. Anyone else having this problem ? It’s a 24 Lariat ecoboost

Sounds like the Stop/Start feature. You can disable it manually, but you must do this every time you start the car. Look it up in your manual.

I understand The stop/start feature. It always restarted as soon as you left off the brake pedal. My son has one also and as soon as leave off the pedal it restarts and that’s how mine worked until yesterday

There is an additional "Hold" feature that is likely enabled. It remember the last state after restart. So if enable it stays enabled. What you are describing is exactly how it behaves.

Auto hold has to be on... Works just as you describe. Love the feature. With it on, you do not have to hold your foot on the brake at a light of stop sign. I did notice that I had to sometimes give mine a little harder press on the petal for it to active when stopping. Got in the habit of doing that so not an issue for me. Just remember if you go through an auto car wash where they pull your car thru, you have to shut it off or the car cannot be pushed by the roller against the tire. Learned the hard way. hahahaha.

My 24 XLT FX4 quit this function completely. I took it back to the dealer. They charged the battery. All's well again. For one week. Then quit again. Going back to the dealer with it in mid April due to previous commitments. I'll be pushing for a new battery or alternator or both. They're going to be getting tired of me utilizing their free "valet" pickup service in my driveway after too much longer.

I did it once. I forgot to disable it.
