I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I made some little blocks to keep the board on top of the wheel wells from sliding towards the cab.

I'm not sure comprehending this. are those extra boards to keep that horizontal 2x6 from moving? do sheets of plywood not keep it pushed down into those slots?

Yes, Sometimes when I am putting other stuff in the truck I knock that board out of position. I considered screwing it down, but I like being able to remove it quickly for hauling large items besides plywood.
