I got started on this project. I de-pinned the original connector under the '22 passengers seat and installed them in the '25 connector. I got lucky and the pins themselves fit the new plug with out having to redo every pin, even the two bigger pins fit in the bigger slots on the '25 connector.

Swapped the seats out, and plugged everything in. Started the truck and got a seat belt fault on the passenger seats air bag. I went back under to verify the wires were in the right pins, the colors matched, and were not reversed. I unplugged the connector to verify none of the pins got bent also. Everything else worked, the seat belt sensor, the passenger air bag 'on/off light etc. The connector is wired correctly. The only wire not in the correct pin is '22 #9 is in '25 #10 because of its size. I noted this on my wiring diagram so when I bring the power wires for the heated seat that I bring it to #10 vice #9.

Anyone have any insight on why the airbag fault? other then the seats are from a crashed Maverick. The airbags didn't deploy and the seats look brand new.

@BlueSpec1 any ideas, can I just clear this? The fault already has been reported to Ford and I got a notification on my phone.

In the bottom picture the violet/gray wire and the yellow/orange wire are the airbag circuits in pins,'22 pins #12, and #13 ---> '25 Pins #16 and #17. I triple checked that they are in the right pins on the seat side to match the body harness. Either the pins aren't making contact in the connector or something is wrong with the seat it's self.

Latest update on this project. The problem with the air bag light is that he RCM system is calibrated for the OEM OCS system and remembers the calibration which doesn't match the '22 passenger seat. I have 2 choices to clear the air bag light, find someone to recalibrate the OCS system or move the OCS system from the OEM seat to the '22 seat. Forscan will not do the calibration. In the mean time I put the OEM '25 seat back in the truck and the air bag light cleared. The passenger on/off light also works as it should.

Soon I will try with the drivers seat. this one hopefully will go smoother since there is no OCS system in the drivers seat.

you can probably do the calibration using FDRS one day subscription and the proper OBD 2 cable. Check out this post I made about using FDRS to make some changes on my Maverick.

From what see the software is only up to 2022 year? I'm working on a 2025. Does FDRS cover up to 2025?

Ive used FDRS on my 2024 maverick. It's the exact software that the ford dealerships use to diagnose and update every ford..

Current status of this project:

It got hot in Florida and I don't need heated seats at the moment and it's to hot to work on this project.

Summary: The passenger side seat will always be more difficult. The PID in the passenger seat is calibrated and the information is stored in the vehicle not the seat. I need to find out where that calibration information exist and get it reset or take both seats to an upholsterer near me to swap the PIDs from the new seats ('25) to the LUX seats and then install them.

The drivers seat has no PID issues and should just be plug and go, keep in mind the plug was changed from the '22-'24 Maverick to the '25 Maverick. I have already made all those changes to the plug on the LUX seats to match the '25. I need to finalize where to get 30A power from. I would like to get it from the proper pin under the hood fuse box, but don't have the proper know how on where to tap that pin or wiring harness, if its already wired and dead ended somewhere. That wire doesn't go to the seat like in the '22-'24s.

The 12V batt has an unused stud on its battery +bus, could just put an inline fuse like a
Littelfuse 04980921GXM5 Holder Midi, M5 Nut w/ Insert and Cover + Midi Fuse over to Power Seat.

I was thinking about that or the post under the hood. 12+ that's black.

That works too, it's at the output of the DC/DC converter.

Considering doing this heated seat mod. Looking to buy the heated pads though ford and install them on the seats and wire them per the diagram. My xlt does not have the wires under the seat nor coming from the CCU. So I want to wire straight from the pads to the CCU get the right size pins and plug into the proper slots. Looks like there are three wires coming back from the seats in the diagrams +, sig rtn and ground.
I held off on this too long
