I'm expecting delivery in a few months on MY25 Lariat Hybrid from an out-of-town dealership. I want to make sure I'm taking it to the best dealership in town for maintaining the hybrid. Any reco's for a great service shop?

Haven’t dealt with the service department just yet and I just switched from waiting on the 2024 to getting the 2025. Should pick up this weekend. I’m going through Louisburg Ford. Just south of JoCo. Would be interested to hear anyone’s experiences with them as well. Dealt with Olathe Ford before but that was 25 years ago. Don’t really recall my experience but then again I didn’t go back to them either.

My sister lives in Olathe and knows the owner of the Lawrence dealership and bought two Mavs from there - they have great mobile service - you might give them a try

Ordered mine from Olathe Ford back in Oct '21, no games no markups.
Ordered a 2nd '23 model, i didnt take delivery of, but same experience when it showed up.
Accepted x-plan thru mustang club of america.

Been mainting my hybrid there this whole time as well. You can tell them you have a coupon for maintenance and 'forgot it' or ask if they have any while checking out and they will apply whatever special is going on. Always something.

Thanks for the recommendation! Olathe is close enough for me to consider, and I appreciate hearing good things about the service shop.

-You can do your oil changes/recalls at dealer
-Do your air/cabin filters yourself (much cheaper/no tools required), can let dealer know you did them to keep service records up to date
-Factory tires wil probably only last 15k-20k miles, costco has alternating sales on bridgestone or michelin every 3-4 months it seems, you can fill out an online cart and screenshot to take somewhere else to price match if a tire place is closer to you. (ie. discount tire/big O/NTB)

Is that really the normal tire wear amount 15-20000 miles?

I've got a 2023 XLT EcoBoost at 27,000 miles with the factory Continental tires. Still got lots of tread left on them. Maybe hybrid goes through tires faster?? Keep them rotated and I bet you'll get way more than 15-20,000 miles out of them.

I agree. I’ve never gotten less than 35000 on a set of tires.

These factory ones dont seem to be the same thread thickness as the consumer versions.
The dealer caught it for me doing an oil change then i saw all the tire discussion threads here mentioning the same.

I have bought several vehicles from Olathe Ford and have nothing but great service. My last purchase was a 2023 Maverick XLT 2.0 and I must say I love it. I have also purchased several vehicles from Bob Allen Ford in Overland Park and also had great service. Never bought from Louisburg Ford but have heard a lot of good things about them it's just a little drive down there that's why I stay around Olathe. Best of luck and congratulations
