Midwest Maverick Meetup - August 13th - Salina, Kansas

Wife and I really enjoyed meeting everyone! Tim Bartz and Long McArthur did a great job putting this on. Will be there next year hopefully in a Maverick bringing the alto blue numbers up! Really had almost the 4 corners of the US covered I met Penn, Maine, Washington State, and Cali. Great draw for a first event.

There was plenty of us there without a Maverick. One fellow drove down from Maine in a Rav4 I met someone who flew in from Pennsylvania! Met someone from Cali which I don't think had a Maverick either. I was nice to see all the colors in person! BTW the Cyber Orange is really pretty in person! My wife thought it was hideous in pictures really liked it!

Maybe next year we can see if we can get Jeremy Bumpus and his highly modified low rider Maverick! Low riders are not my thing but I appreciate things other people like and build.

I am sure he mentioned it on Facebook and Twitter. Probably on MTC too. As with anything, doesn’t matter how much you promote something, it never reaches 100 percent of those who would be interested. Heck, I didn’t see/hear anything about the Maverick until well into August and beat the hybrid cut off date just in time.

MTC is this site—Maverick Truck Club. Wasn’t trying to be a smart aleck using the abbreviation. Heck, I will have my Maverick for years before I find out what all the little cartoon logos mean lol.

Even without being sponsored by MTC this thread was on the front page for 3 days in July. Maybe local radio commercials are needed next time, hahaha.
