Do you know your build date?
My truck was built Feb 13th. I was originally scheduled for the week of Feb 03 then pushed back to the week of Feb 10. It shipped Feb 14th and delivered Feb 25th in SoCal!

I might have to give that a shot!

Yep still sticker based. I got a pack of stickers in the glove box. I don't own a trailer so I'll probably put the stickers on a magnet sheet so I can use them with rental trailers.

Good to know that it might not work in some situations!

Good idea to attach the stickers to mag sheets. You do have to enter a series of measurements to set up the trailer assist, but it usually works well for someone not used to backing a trailer.

In any event, congratulations on the new Maverick. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

FYI : I believe that system is not made by Ford. I believe it is a company known as ASEAN. It might not be spelled correctly. They have been or were doing a lot of work with those systems.

are you joking, 995 door edge vinyl piece? those cost 20 dollars. 995 is steep, like, lawsuit steep.

id get the tailgate cables fixed, thats clearly an issue/defect. quality control. dont think you'd have any kick back for that.
I think they misplaced the decimals point 😭

So the trailer assist is still optical/ sticker based? Our 2019 F-150 has this type of system, and while it usually works well, under some conditions (bright sun at certain angles) the system can't find the sticker even though it's clearly visible on the back up camera screen. When this happens, my wife is unable to continue to park the trailer and has to call in her assistant (me). I never use the trailer assist anyway; to steer the trailer you turn the knob the opposite direction you'd turn the steering wheel, causing me to suffer a wetwear malfunction.

I thought I'd read that newer iterations used a chip (RFID?) in lieu of the sticker to sense the trailer tongue position. Not the case with the Maverick trailer assist?
my maverick is a MY22 so naturally it doesn't have it on it but I have a MY24 Expedition Limited with the features and it came with 2 of the stickers for different trailers, so I assume the new maverick would be the same.

Congratulations! I’m fine with the angle of the screen as it’s to prevent glare but I do wish it was a few inches higher. I actually would like the full center stack moved up a couple inches. Would give more right leg knee room for us tall people.

I have a question about the cables. Are the clips that are supposed to keep the cables attached supposed to be under the shoulders of the bolt or whatever you call it that the cable is attached to? I have had an issue periodically where one of the cables will come off.
The cables should not come off either of the posts without pressing the release clip.

Those are quite the set of add ons:
VIN security stickers ($995) - About $10 and worthless
Ceramic coating ($995) - $129 including beer, and an afternoon of your time, the only one on the list I'd consider having
Door Edge Guard Vinyl Stickers ($995) - $20 and worthless if you don't throw your door open at other cars
R.E.D third brake light flasher ($995) - $18 on Amazon and my god do I hate those things... nothing makes me want to rear end another vehicle more than having the blitz of flashes right in my face every 30 feet as they tap dance on the brakes, especially in evening rushhour when the suns gone down.

Congrats on the truck and winning the add-on argument, those crooked dealers are awful.

My dealer sales rep told me several times that my invoice price is what it is, and gonna be no additional dealer install crap, fingers cross tho. I told him, I be walking out of the deal even $1 is increased.
I don't want to wind you up because your dealer may not be one of the very many terrible ones but I'd make sure you have comfortable walking shoes or brush up your hostile negotiating skills when it's time to pick up your truck.

My dealer tried to stick me with the bill for the blinky 3rd brake light shit too. I told them it was not on my signed order form, I did not ask for it, and I never approved it. I am not paying for it. They added extra to my trade in value to cover it and left it on the truck.

Just another experience that makes me despise dealerships and the scummy things they try to get away with.

Those prices really were absolutely bananas. The ceramic coat really was the only one I was ok with buying, but $995 for it just pissed me off.

I just removed that flasher last night because I have the exact same reaction whenever I see somebody with a light flasher. Only took about 20 minutes and required a single crimp connector and some shrink wrap.

I have never used the physical volume button on the dash on my 22 Maverick. I use the volume buttons on the steering wheel...much easier to use IMHO.

I’m not sure why but I’ve found myself going towards the knob more than the steering wheel controls but I do use both.

I would like to have the PT features - but I think they should have just added it to the right side instead of bumping the volume over.

FYI. The knob volume control should be on the right side for the passenger to have closer access to the radio volume. The driver has volume control on the steering wheel. Steering wheel is much safer control of the radio volume.
