How do you guys even know 25 model has a diff cv axle? Has someone compared them other than part numbers
Yes if I recall correctly there have been some CV replacements noted here that included a new part # as well as that which is tagged on 2025 models

Please don't quote me on it, it was not me who posted the info, but I remember reading it on here in a post

Your 24 is probably worth in the 20's, but this has nothing to do with a 24 vs 25. We have nobody to blame for ourselves for supporting these over inflated prices. We got spoiled as the manufacturer's and suppliers took covid to discover they can sell less charge more and artificially control pricing. Some got the unrealistic expectation they could buy new, make money or break even on resell. But plan on losing 25% driving a car off the lot if they stop trying to control supply. I wouldn't pay you 30k for your used truck and probably only those ignorant enough to buy a car on a monthly payment would or a business that makes money with it.

I'm all over dealers, I despise them, wish I didn't have to use them ever as for me they provide zero value and just cost time and money. (Buying new, used is a different story.) However, if you are going to try and trade with them, they are in business to make money. If you don't like the offer, pay cash for the other one, hold on to yours and sell it, that's what they are doing but have a whole lot of overhead.

Also, your comment on not being able to make a purchase, that's completely on you. You should have the money available to make the purchase regardless of your other vehicle or if you needed to sell it, done so in preparation of the new one. That's another problem, if people would stop financing and buy what they have the means to save up and purchase, these trucks would go back to lower prices. But nothing stated here is a reason not to go from a 24 to 25.
First off, I'm not planning to financing a new truck. Secondly, obviously you have no idea whatsoever what used Mavericks are going for. I got a firm offer of $33k for mine. That would have meant paying sales tax (8.9%) on the full purchase price on the new one, rather than the difference between the two if I traded mine in. I've ultimately decided there weren't enough changes in the 25 to justify paying more than $7K, a figure I arbitrarily established back when the order was placed.

My opinion is to never trade or sell a vehicle that still meets your needs. Vehicles are not investments and any time you sell or trade you will loose money 90% of the time. I would not be ordering a 2025 maverick if I had a 2022-2024 one because ultimately, it's still meets the same needs unless you really have money burning a hole in your pocket. The idea of having a never-ending car payment is just mind-blowing to me but to each there own.

If you are on the "like the front end" list, then I will add you to the total, that would make 3 members so far.
Make it 4. I like it on my XLT. I don't even notice the difference really when I see it in person. I see why people don't like it when I look at pictures of it, but when I see it in person, it looks good.

I wrote this in a previous post.

In person, my eyes really do focus on the lights rather than the bumper, and I think it looks as good as the '22 I had.

When I traded in my 2016 BMW for my 22 Maverick I could tell the dealer thought they were taking me for a ride.... I was doing cartwheels as they took it away !!!:cwl:
There's nothing worse them a BMW out of warranty! they become a money pit about 6 months later.

I dunno, I think there are a couple of "social diseases" that might give it a run for is money!

I mean, at least with the BMW, it's car parts falling off!

I am keeping my 2002 Ford Maverick as long as I can. It runs well. Gets great mileage. Had many recalls which were fixed. The paint is in great condition. It’s left outside. The interior looks good. It rides well.

I finally paid it off. No more payments. I have an extended warranty until 100000 Miles.

People still ask me about the truck.

I love the 22-24 models and fell in love with the vehicle by reading about it mostly on this forum. Throw back to my much loved 91 Ford Ranger. But….getting ready to haul my 3500 lb camper with my 2025 AWD, 4k hybrid Maverick that I have been averaging 38 mpg today. Blanket clickbait titles reek of small mindless jealously. To each their own!

I got $33K trade for my 5000 mile ‘24 EB Lariat a month ago which I thought was fair. I did have a similar offer from Carvana I used to bargain with. Sales tax wasn’t an issue since the car that replaced it cost essentially the same money.

I've got a '23 Lariat Hybrid with about 7,200 miles on it. I ordered a '25 Lariat Hybrid with the 4K tow package because I wanted an AWD Hybrid with SYNC4 and the ability to tow 4,000 pounds if I need to. I have a '24 Escape Hybrid that has SYNC4, and my wife, who is 'technically challenged' doesn't like having to remember two different ways to access the systems, nav, phone, and music. It's worth the dollars to me to resolved all those issues even if it doesn't make any sense whatsoever to do so.
