I’m in Washington too? What dealer ? As I’m about to do the same?
The dealer was actually in Oregon but of course I still had to pay WA sales tax.

Blah blah blah. This ain't a truck. It's a good version. But it is an SUV MINI with a bed. Due to demand it is ridiculously priced. I like the idea and wanted an economy car. This fits the bill so I don't have to wear out my real truck. I don't understand the excitement like this is a special addition super car people are willing to get jacked from. Many recalls. Why do owners wave to me. It's not all that, it's a poor man's price hiked truck.
...you must be really fun at parties.. 😅

I would have never ordered a new vehicle without doing my homework on my trade.
Well, I did my homework and still lost money. No guarantees in life. :)

Carvana offered just under $26,000 in July of 2024. Since I paid $26k out the door for my '22, getting almost $26k was phenomenal, so I ordered my '25 Maverick on 8/1/24.

2 months later their offer was $24,200. When I finally bought my '25 Maverick on 12/31/24, Carvana offered $22.2k. Some of that was due to mileage I added, but most of it was just the market cooling off finally. Lucky me.

Regardless, $4,000 depreciation in 5 months was kind of hard to stomach. Ford initially low balled me but ultimately matched Carvana's $22k offer.

The AWD Lariat I ordered way back in early September finally arrived today. Unfortunately, I decided not to buy it. I have a 2024 Lariat hybrid now with just 2,900 miles on it in virtually showroom condition. The dealer's offer was a pathetic $30K so when it was all send and done with taxes, registration, etc., I would still be stuck with just over $10K! I felt I got screwed on an immaculate, very low mileage F-150 Super Crew that I traded in for my "24" and told myself it won't happen again! I wanted the "25" for the all-wheel drive, the larger screen and cameras all around rather than just in back. To me, those weren't worth $10K. I really like my "24", its overall 44 mpg to date, it's handling, it being actually fun to drive, and not having to search forever finding a parking spot at Home Depot or WalMart! So yes, I'm quite disappointed after waiting 4 months and not being able make the purchase. Finally, if you're planning on trading in your older Maverick, BEWARE! And be prepared to "bend over" you could say.
Not opinion, Fact-the 25 refresh Maverick is just plain ugly. Wait for the next remodel. Interest rates will be better as well now that we have a…

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some of think that the new front end is NOT ugly!

This one instance of something being good enough. I haven’t seen any less than 18K on my ‘23 and have no thoughts on trading it in for anything. My Mav is paid for and at nearly 75, I’m done with the car game. I’ve personalized my Mav and have no need or desire to do that all over again. So, what I’ve got is what I’m sticking with.

Get an offer from CarMax and screenshot it here. It should be much higher than the dealer.
I’ve been watching quotes for my ‘24 hybrid, Carmax, Carvana & Echo Park. They are all +- $500 around $30,000.

I think the only thing that will boost that would be tariffs bumping up the price on ‘25s that trickles down to ‘24s and older.

That bump would be neutralized by the increased ‘25 price.

I keep cars for a decade. Most people don't trade in a 2024 for a 2025.

I'm sorry, but some of these posts recently seem to have ZERO thought put into them $30k isn't THAT bad. That's normal depreciation for a USED car. They have to sell it, and No one's going to buy it used for $35k when you can get a brand new updated model for not much more.

The pandemic car flipping times are over, and have been for a while now. Welcome to the real world

people also need to get over the "$20,000" truck mentality. Ford underpriced it at the absolute worst time (for them) due to the shutdowns. You can't get a damn thing new for $20k anymore (hell most new cars under $30k right are piles of straight garbage)--people need to let that shit go.
I need you to start writing news outlets about the quality of their content 😁

I'm not sure if a dealer can even sell a 2024 trade in. 2024 sales are on hold due to a recall. Funny stuff. If you wait you should get a great deal on one. No wonder Ford stocks are down 62%.

Boy, many people seem to be willing to pay any price and somehow justify it in their own mind. I'm not buying into it. Pay more for everything if you like.

Everyone is different, I traded my 24 in for a 25 awd with 4k, Carvana gave me 33,400 for my 24 with 2k on it, I buy on A plan, and get first responder discount, so when its all said and done I will need to come up with 2,200 to get the 25, to me, and like I said, everyone is different, but 2200 for a new vehicle, with AWD, 4k tow (24 hybrid didn't have it) and upgraded tech along with the new AMG battery was well worth it. When I traded my 22 in on my 23, I made 8k over what I gave for the 22, when I traded my 23 in on my 24, I made 2200 over what I gave for it, so iven paying for the 25 I am ahead of the game.
