With prep and taping off the right spots, took a little bit longer than an afternoon.

Not a bad deal, I assume it's probably comparable to the Herculiner kit, if not the same product.

I have elected to go the wait and see route, and see how much the bed gets scraped up just having a rubber mat in it that took 63 seconds to install.

Agreed—good bed mat + the hard tonneau cover will accomplish the same for me. That is a good price though.
