That's a "heritage" thing" I doubt you'll ever see that go away. Get a time machine and flash away to the future and you'll probably see it on a starship or a land speeder.
They were probably going to call the Delta Flyer a Mustang but probably couldn't get Ford to sign off on it. Supposedly one of the characters in Voyager was a big fan of 20th century hot-rodding

I was over to a local Ford dealer today and all the new Mavs and Fords have the new big black and white flat oval badges. Only thing I've seen worse is GM's new Buick badge. Any other nominees for the Bone-Head Re-design award?
It's a subtle change that most people won't even notice, all they did is change the colors a bit. Back in 1966 Henry Ford II almost made a major overhaul to the iconic logo but ultimately changed his mind. Imagine if this logo change had happened?

Don't get Us 🇳🇴 Norwegians,
Involved in this!!
Either get with the program, or we'll slap a tariff on rotten fish!

🤪

Speaking of chrome (real, not fake) and Buicks, check out this Classic.
It looks like it's trying, but failing, to pass itself off as a cadillac!

So, does that mean that my 4x4 logo which is a Chevy Silverado decal makes my Mav a "hybrid" id you count the badges??
nah, Ford and Chevy aren't cross-fertile, so it would be a "mule"!

Pull, Tear, and Mangle

Neighbor has a Tesla badge on his ‘65 Chevy pickup
That's all fun and games, until someone sticks an 800 volt charger in the gas tank!

:teehee:

Yes, for the win.

Ummm…what’s ‘cursive’?
this brings up bad memories of a cousin's daughter, at 14, having a baby...had to have her mother read the cards at the baby shower as she couldn't read cursive.....

off my soap box...

I doubt Ford will still be around by then. They're hanging on by a thread as it is.
Ford has been around the block. In the late 1920s they were on the brink and came back strong.
They just need to get back to their founder's ideals.
"I will build a motor car for the great multitude...constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise...so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one-and enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God's great open spaces." Yeah, that was then, and this is now. Apples to Oranges. The market (via Ford's Stock Price) seems to agree with my assessment more than yours.

Personally, I like change and I'm not the only one. How many people in this group start modding their trucks as soon as they get 'em?

An emblem style never swayed me from a purchase anyway.

Its all just opinion.. I think its fine BTW, Both are fine ..Im not a traditionalist nor am I a fan of just 1 car maker.. ZERO brand loyalty here at all. No one company has exactly what id like at all times.

And in 40 years of driving averaging getting a different vehicle about every 4ish years(longest we have had a single vehicle as a family was 10 years (2009 Kia Borrego we finally traded in in 2020) normally its every 3-5 years throughout that time... typically as soon as warranty was up it got traded in the past..

Ive not in 40 years and a minimum of (between 3 of us Wife/Kid/Me) we have had at least 25-30 cars.. and in all that time almost every make out there and I have never found a single brand that always had a model or look I wanted, a brand that was either more reliable or lass overall..

So that they changed the logo color?? couldnt care less. Heck I thought it was just that color because I got the BO package on the XLT..Love it on the BO package to be honest.. Till this thread didnt know it was a total change.. guess makes no difference to me either way.

It is amazing all this banter over a slight logo change...
When they get All these recalls done, And They Will...
What on earth are you people going to complain about... 🤔
