I don't even have to guess what gen you are 😁
Intentional misdirect, a member of the generation that had all sorts of problems scribbling a capital ‘Q’ to the teachers satisfaction, which always turned out looking like an oversized ‘2’.

But we digress…

Honestly, it took me a few days to realize the emblems were black🤦‍♂️

They are not all black. I've seen plenty of 2025s with the blue emblem. Ford will never get rid of that. Hell, it's the "blue oval". Their trademark!

I don't mind. It looks more modern this way. Chrome is a bit tacky and dated, especially when it's overdone. Black and white never go out of style. It's only the colors that changed. The logo is still the same as a whole. Not like Buick where they totally redesigned their shields. Even then, it's not bad. It's simpler and more modern. I also like the trend of spelling out models with individual letters. That's a cool retro trend that I don't mind coming back. Ford, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan and Kia/Hyundai are just a few examples of ones doing it.
