The only thing I like more than a recall is a recall for a recall. So, does this count as my fourth or fifth? Add the failing battery and failed turbo wastegate actuator, and it adds up to a lot of trips to the dealership and numerous hours spent sitting in the waiting room for this nonsense. In spite of all that, I still love this damn truck and plan to keep it. However, an extended warranty would probably be a good investment.

I have had the recalls done. The furthest I had to go was my doorstep to hand the tech the keys. I dont see the big deal.

The good news is that the owners of these Mavericks can switch to LEDs and have no hyperflash!

It sounds like a very small amount of trucks are under this recall - 1800 in U.S., 200 in Canada

This story was posted within the past hour, but I couldn't find anything on the MTC search about this, so sorry if it's a repost. Don't know if this is the BCM recall that everyone was talking about earlier in the week, that people thought was the camera recall.

Hello, I worked in a Ford Assembly Plant for 34 years and if you knew everything that they have issues with you wouldn't believe it. Thing's are always going on and they just fix them before they get shipped out to their destination. There is a whole lot of engineering that goes into producing a vehicle that yes some things have issues and come up from time to time it doesn't mean that it's a bad vehicle. How many other manufacturers have issues that you hear nothing about? I will stay loyal to the company that put food on my table. Best of luck with your future endeavors.

If that is true you are temporarily fortunate because my hundred dollar bill says you’re gonna have plenty. Remember Ford’s quality control is for shit it’s the worst in the entire world and there’s no reason anything is gonna improve anytime soon especially with their costs about to increase with tariffs… an increase in quality control and a lessening of recalls ain’t coming soon. That said and rant over I still love my Maverick!

Trust me I understand the process and understand quality control. The point that we are all beating around but not saying is that the industry and not just automotive but everywhere is using
consumers to beta test products rather than fully holding back spending the money and doing more thorough testing before releasing products to the public. This is not a Ford issue this is a worldwide every company issue and the consumer loses because those of us who have problems lose faith in the companies and like you are reading here jump shipped to other companies only to find that they’re really no better. A wholesale change in how product testing happens needs to be the solution.

and GM has never had a recall?

Their Transmission shudder issue on colorados and Canyons is what made me go to the maverick in the first place... and I dont know if they ever even really made it a recall
