While slowing down for a stop light, at approximately 20-30 mph, I noticed a loud "clunk" and felt vibration under the hood when letting off the gas and applying brakes. Felt like the motor/transmission was rocking on the mounts. This was not brake grab, it was for sure under the hood.

This happened once, I let off the brakes, applied again and it did it a second time. Did not happen the rest of the day.

Thoughts on if anyone has experienced it? First initial thought was that the starter motor / generator was getting stuck on the transition.

2023 hybrid w/ 600 miles on it.

Take it back and have the dealer check trouble codes, etc.

I was thinking the Ford app would show it under vehicle health reports? There is nothing there. Since it was mechanical I'd expect it not to show up. If it happens again I'll take it in just wondering if others experienced it as well and what result was.

Hi , I just got new Maverick Hybrid AWD 2025 (500 Ml). I also have transmission clunking noise.
It is happening only in cold weather on cold car. Open door --> open hood --> start engine --> put hand brake in --> put drive in Neutral --> now you can hear this noise from inside and from outside.

Generally speaking this clunking noise presented in drive and reverse as well, but now it will depend how firmly you depress brake pedal. If firm .... no noise, if lose than noise is present.

When truck warm up, then noise is gone.

Could you please take a look attachment?
