I finally got mine installed and it's one of the best cheap mod I've done to the truck. It looks so much more finished with the cover on. Don't be afraid to bend the plastic and use a flat head to guide the tabs in.

I installed mine recently, and I am glad to see I am not the only one who got the cut around the 4 pin connector a little wonky. Still looks good though.
I followed another Mav the other day, he did not have this piece on his . Looked terrible with the the piece missing.

I've decided to try to 3d print the part. I can get the dimensions easily. However, I can't see how it actually attaches. Could someone who has the OEM part share what keeps it in place? Pics of the part not on the vehicle would be ideal.
Did you ever come up with a 3D design/file to print this?

Super old thread, but round 2 for me on this mod. Kinda funny that I’m watching Rockford files while working on template and cutout for the new Maverick. The panel was went from $22 to $33 from my dealership 😳

Is there still a seller on ebay who does these?
I believe so, as well as FB marketplace, for something like $60, I think Mabett has one, but I heard it doesn’t fully match color of the bumper. I’m not happy the piece is so much more, but it’s one of the easier mods on the truck.

Yeah definitely not interested in Mabetts. I want the Ford shield that is cut for the 4/7 pin adapters.

The plate can be had from the dealership parts dept. It’s easy to do, I make cardboard template to make sure it fits before cutting the plate. Worst part is installjng, its tight fit around the chain hooks. I'm going to use hot water on the plate this time right before installing. Wasted time putting the plate in hot water right before installing, the chain hooks are moved out a little more than on my 22. Took out four screws from bumper cover, dropped the 4pin plug and the plate slipped right up. Much easier than last time .
